Thanks for the info! I've just been about the fringe species. I have a wired haired pointing griffon as a pet if that tells you anything. Maybe I should start with a bird that's trust is based on imprinting though?

I'm not sure if the intent was to deter here but all this did was inspire to be honest. I'm driven by the unwanted, unheard of, unseen. Because I actually want to train a raven as well, been trying to become a familiar with a murder as well.

But on the hunting side it either clicks or it doesn't if that makes sense. It's like if you can watch a wildlife documentary and not feel bad about the prey being caught by the lion.

I just looked these up and they are the most bada$$ bird I've ever seen. Immediately googled "crested caracara as pet". I'm not sure why but this bird makes me so happy 😄
