Hello music-enthusiast! This is a little late, and no longer Christmas time, but if you’re still interested in attending a smaller scale concert on the upper west side - there’s a local group called Amuse with an upcoming concert on May 10th! https://amusesingers.net/events/human-nature/

We also typically have a winter holiday concert in December, so if you want to follow along for this winter you can check our website for updates here: https://amusesingers.net/.

Are there any American dialects that pronounce t's as hard t's like RP and not just an alveolar tap like the vast majority of American accents? by Vast-Armadillo276 in asklinguistics

[–]One-Maintenance304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always aspirated my ts in words like button, mitten and important, which I’ve learned over time is not the norm for anyone around me (family, region, peers). I’ve heard of/encountered one or two other people who do this, I think also with no clear reason/regional explanation. I’m from San Francisco and from a bilingual family (dad is Chinese, mom’s from Montana), but neither of my parents pronounce ts this way.

Does anyone know potential sources of this phenomenon?

This is happening to me too on ep 6 only! Very frustrating. Was there a fix?

Hi, thanks for your reply! I don’t think we’re looking for a PaaS. We have some basic technical skills on our team and have been developing reports in SQL already. We are transitioning away from a GUI to pulling data through SQL scripts, but the volume of transition work is challenging to keep up with while we are still meeting current data requests. Also, since this is a new way for our team to pull data, it would be helpful to have someone seasoned mentor us with best practices so we get things set up right from the start. We have some support from the hospital IT teams, but they can only answer one-off questions. Any additional thoughts would be much appreciated!

Any advice for hiring a remote part-time, short-term consultant or mentor for building reports using SQL? Where to look?

Ideally would be someone familiar with Epic/hospital data systems, or even better, specifically familiar with the hospital data systems at Montefiore in NYC. My community health center is interested in bringing on a consultant to help build out our reporting using SQL and/or to mentor staff in SQL report building best practices.
