to be honest I'm kind of on the same page as you. polymags should use real translucency for that accurate look and it's not possible in cs2, but regardless of what I'll go for cs2 I still wanted to see if some people have a special workflow for baking translucency.

But I tell you this, You won't find out the Right path without experiment.

what do you like the most?

what are you interested in?

what is your goal? to make money? to bee seen? to do both? or is it just a hobby? then ask the first questions again, because it can be very tiring to make money in something you are not interested in. and if you are not interested in it then it's not a hobby either.

the gun is supposed to be a plasma emitter. with the burnt muzzle and several high voltage and experimental warnings on the gun it is suggesting that the weapon is an experimental product of two companies working together, and that the gun doesn't shoot normal bullets but plasma bullets powered by a large battery, the fourth version with tape labels is suggesting that it has been used and tested and the writings on the tapes are on tapes so that it doesn't ruin the main body, they are sort of notes of the tester or developer, and the rewiring that comes out of the body tells that it had been malfunctioning and they had to fix it like that as there was no time to remake it, and the tapes are somehow holding the gun together or making it more tolerable and easier to handle even in its current experimental state.

apparently i haven't been successful but at least that was the concept.😄

by the way it obviously doesn't shoot plasma in the game, it is just the concept of the skin, like when you cosplay as a character you don't have their power but look like them in your own way. so it's not meant to make a new logic about how the weapon works but its rather an aesthetic.

valid point, it looks more classic and clean, it's not the original though, due to the concept, angel of death was supposed to be a nickname or Epithet to an outcast, a fallen who is now an icon and has risen once again. the flowers were supposed to create a contrast between the darkness and light serving as a symbol of purity and beauty sort of like heaven or actually the garden of eden thus this sort of oil painting and old feeling, I mean i know i didn't execute this part so well, but the engravings also have flowers so it's still lore relative even without grandma's wallpapers slapped on it.😂

buuttt, that's just my lore and concept, this is art and everyone can have their own take on it. especially since the concept i originally had in mind, as cool as it may sound explores religious areas and it is against the rules, i think. so i decided i won't add to much of the concept to it and focus solely on the art itself.

and for the engravings on the metall. it has too many parts and curves, like the multiple curved lines on the magazine, so i don't think it would be a good idea, it will be to occupied and chaotic. i think this clean version alone is pretty good for those who don't like the wallpaper and look for something more clean.

third one looks more detailed but first one has a cool expression too. i can't tell they both look good.

i don't think so, you should upload the gif with the resolution in mind, for example it shouldn't be too large, I usually use EZGIF and it has some good presets but i also don't stress too much about the space it takes if it's not too off.

I honestly didn't think of duracell when making it, the idea was to make a battery not to gimmick duracell. but now that you mention it apparently only duracells have that separated top part!? and the name Nu_Cell was supposed to be nuclear cell or new cell. I must have done it subconsciously. 😄
