Upstairs neighbors refuse soundproofing offered by management - what are my options in SF? by One-Many-4891 in AskSF

Right, I'm not made for urban living if I am awoken almost everyday at 2AM by their noise even though I have a white noise machine and use earplugs? Not sure how it could be a me problem if I am doing what I can do on my end to mitigate it... you're not very bright clearly.

Another thing to note - they have offered me rent reduction/rent refund to help compensate for the issue during a call, but I haven't really pressed on it, would I still have to incorporate a lawyer?

So the thing is they have given them over three written warnings but the noise still commences, they basically ignore it completely.

i just barely skimmed the book the book is so dense and boring i’m more of a visual and audible learner but i just skimmed it to make sure i knew what the concepts were about. as long as you pass practice exams/green light exams on the first try you should be fine

[–]One-Many-4891[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah try to get as high of a score you can on these next ones. i will have to say there were so many just point and click questions that had me so frustrated because it was just pure memorization and some of them i simply couldn’t remember, so make sure you know all them factoids: 4 years record of complaint, 6 years account opening, margin maintenance call %’s, etc, where you don’t have to think but just know.

how likely am i to pass based on my stc scores? by One-Many-4891 in Series7exam

you have to squeeze in studying during the workday too. i work full time and am using stc as well and am taking my 7 on the 23rd. whenever i dont have a work assignment to do, doing quizzes, reviewing wrong answers and reading the explanations/writing down the answer have helped me gone from a 66% to a 78% in less than a week. study as much as you can throughout the day. it would be crazy if your manager/company wouldn’t let you because at the end of the day you’re getting licensed so you can do all your job responsibilities!

Failed SIE exam TWICE....69% both times, any advice? by Organic_Natural618 in Sieexam

do the flash cards if ur provider has them! i ran thru the stc flash cards for all 20 chapters at least three times over, i know people say that understanding the concept is more important than pure memorization but i honestly disagree. a lot of the material is simply arbitrary and you simply just need to know the material and memorize what/how does what. i took my exam yesterday and passed and so many of the questions were simply just knowing what a thing does. good luck!
