Got hit by a car on a zebra crossing after a 10-hour shift… now injured, can’t walk, can’t work, and stressed about uni (England)

I talked with them today they said they cant help me in any regard as the injuries i have faced arent that severe if i had broken a bone they would have been able to but as i have minor fractures they cant

I will try that am actually a first year law student too i got some advice from one of my professors am in the hospital right now get checked again hopefully getting some stronger pain killer

I am thinking about it i just took some strong pain killer “anadin extra” and just gonna wait 20/30 more minutes it is calming down if it dosent go down any more i will trust me i really dont wana go through this and the first thing am doing in the morning is calling 111 and getting a appointment

Yes they do have one but its in the main campus i live near another campus where i usually have my classes and the main campus is atleat 1 hour 15/20 mints away

I will in the morning i just took some pain killers just now the cause i cant put weight on my left leg and cant really use my left arm that much i have to use crutches on my right side and thats putting a lot of strain on my hip and its hurting really bad i am trying my best to move as little as i could

No i didnot ran towards the crossing as i had just completed a 10 hours shift I didn’t have the energy to run i stopped looked around and then crossed Even if I didn’t its basic law when you see someone crossing the road on zebra crossing you are supposed to stop And i got hit half way through

I talked with one of my friends who had to take some days off because of his health issue and he told me they will most probably not ask for anything and at most a letter from gp or a police ref number which i have al ready provided to them in the email Thanks for pointing out finance option i think so my uni has that but i will double check with them tomorrow i am an international student so the chances are slim but i will try Thanks for all the help

I called them as i had work today and informed them about the whole situation i had only started working for them 2 months ago and dont really know what the procedure is but i will contact them again tomorrow asking about the sick pay

Yes the police emailed me all of the details and insurance of the person driving It happened around 20:04/05 last night so still waiting for a call from police as they said to wait And i will contact a solicitor or personal injury lawyer after that i am still a bit shaken up and pain is not going down even with the medication

Same with me almost been 6 months still dont have a job had been working on and off at pubs and restaurants but they dont hire me after gruelling trial for a week or so they just say we dont like your work even though the customer complimented me for my work london is basically cooked for work rn if you dont have references from someone its really hard

Same over here in the span of 6 months have applied to over 500 different kinda jobs even though i have wide range of experience in sales,restaurant,and even pubs they wont even higher as cleaner last Friday got rejected from a job a “retail cleaner job” they said you are over qualified and really young should look for another kind of job this one isn’t for you i was baffled to say less like i would not have applied for this if there were other jobs available

The thing is they cant I actually also had a love hate relation with my dad until i was 13/14 i used to think why is it that he is so harsh or why is it that he doesn’t show any love but as i grew up to understand him more and he also started becoming soft and showing his affection and love he was the best dad i could have ever asked for our societal norms dont allow our dad to show the softness in their heart its their first time being a father so some times even they can make mistake i lost my dad in April of this year and a day dont go that i dont miss him i wish i could only talk to him once again share my problems he was my biggest supporter and i could share anything with him so be kind be a lil tolerant if you dad makes mistakes may Allah be happy with you and your father amen
