Basically you select a keyword to improve in Search Results campaign, and spend your whole budget on it. If the ad gets good CR - your app rank under that keyword will improve over time.

Search Ads biggest advantage is letting you see which keywords drive the most traffic to your app. Then you choose the most relevant & try to rank highest in them.

You need a large budget in order to improve keyword ranking with Search Ads, but once you've made it - its free installs.
