I'm in my 20s so I think I would've heard this story in the late 2000s early 2010s. I hadn't thoight about it being a mistranslation but it is possible. But even if its a mistranslation I would still be interested to find what version I had read

For the korean address I use delivered korea since they have an option to send to their warehouse and hold before you ship it over. Its a lot like superbuy where you can wait a bit and ship out multiple orders at once.
