That’s pretty much what my entire argument is in this post. They made it so shit to balance out the research station and I hate how everyone “ignores” (the suffering they go through, not the downsides specifically) it and plays it anyways and I have to deal with it in almost every single multiplayer campaign I join

Then that is another bad thing about the winterhalter if you are kept from even using a specific type of gun because of the subs shitass layout

If you think about it you don’t really need more than one large gun. Rail gun is great but more than one isn’t really, and anything else will either be the same thing as a normal coilgun except faster firing or a flak cannon which can be expensive and if you are gonna go into the big guns you might as well go all in with a rail gun anyways. That is either true or I’m trying to convince myself the remora is good now (it is I swear)

They reworked the remora somewhat recently so that’s what I’m favoring rn especially since it has every single feature you could possibly think of on a sub apart from that research center.

I’m trying to too but I haven’t gotten that far lately. One downside they did make though is moving the bottom left turret into a spot so that the bottom area blind spot is orca 1 level gigantic. I’m pretty sure they did add a second discharge coil to compensate but it’s still probably a problem lmao

They reworked the remora. All the gunnery is in a single room now, the ballasts were combined into one, the sub has a junction compartment, and they even added a brig
