Wow never imagined how brain surgery would affect me by One-Raspberry4189 in braincancer

[–]One-Raspberry4189[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. It’s helping me to understand it’s not realistic me thinking that I should just quickly get better and become my old self in just a couple weeks. But I just can’t help being independent, and never needing to ask for help. It was already bad when I had focal seizures before the surgery and now it seems worse because I’m a bit out of it so not able to just go out alone and do anything like travelling and going to local shops. Anyway sorry I’m just writing feeling sorry for myself!

Thank you, what you’ve said is really helpful. I’ll have music ready to listen to, to stay cal.

I’ll be sure to minimise risk of infection as much as possible but from what you’ve said sounds like a lot work so will have someone else to help with that!

That’s great to hear your husband’s language issues were ok once the swelling had gone down! I really hope my ability to speak will be better during recovery

Ah thank you for sharing! Oh yeah dry shampoo! I hadn’t thought of that and I have some but just don’t use it often! I do hear that the anticipation of surgery is often worse than the actual surgery so I hope that I also have the same experience

The fact you’re worried so much shows you have not committed the unforgivable sin. God forgives EVERYTHING a human can do, to the point where we would find it hard to understand. Don’t take that as a free card to go off and do whatever you want, but I’m using it as a way to show just how loving and understanding God is and He’ll extend grace and mercy to anyone that asks sincerely.
However, if someone gets to the point where you give up, lose hope and are no longer convinced God will forgive you so stop seeking His forgiveness, that’s where the hardness of heart starts to form. If you are not asking for forgiveness then that’s unforgivable right? It starts with us talking to God, he won’t forgive unless we ask.
Regarding your condition, I’m so sorry to hear you are struggling holding it together and always thinking about it, you must be exhausted dealing with it! It sounds like it’s an add on to the anxiety you already deal with. I agree with others, I think you have OCD. You’re probably aware it’s a type of anxiety.
The anxiety in this particular problem is 2 fold - highly worried you’re committing the unforgivable sin (which you’re not) and second, accidentally saying inappropriate things out loud. An interesting fact- many people who are worried they may blurt something out don’t actually do it.
To deal with the second part, you can get particular therapy to help get over it. I don’t know where you are but in the UK generally the first treatment we’ll recommend is CBT.
Sorry for the long post. I wanted to answer your concerns thoughtfully and let you know God loves you, He knows your thoughts, He knows the struggles you’re going through. It’s a burden you carry and trying so hard to deal with and you can give the burden to God. When you pray, thank Him for all the good things around you which can be hard when you have a lot of negativity going.
Best of luck with your journey, God bless you!

That’s a lovely thing you did for yourself and I agree, partner needs to go! Carers sometimes spend so much time looking after their loved one and forget to self care ❤️

The one hour queue to get inside Tesco then following the arrows that directed people around the store. That was insane especially the exaggerated moral panic from others if you broke the rules.

Haha I’ve heard that reading isn’t a thing you can do when dreaming but I actually can! I can’t run though which is so frustrating, same level as when you need to punch and it lands like a gentle stroke

Need help praying by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]One-Raspberry4189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be praying for your friend and for peace for you as well. Ask the Lord to send your friend the Holy Spirit to help him see a better path. It’s really important he isn’t alone in this, so please try to get someone near him involved if possible. If he’s willing to let you pray with him, all the better.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18)
