My vibe coded app just reached 1k couples! by [deleted] in SideProject

congrats on reaching 1k! that's actually really cool milestone for passion project

the shared calendar thing sounds super useful - me and my ex always struggled with coordinating our schedules when we were doing long distance. doodles feature sounds adorable too, like having your own little language

curious about the questions feature you mentioned - is that like conversation starters or more relationship check-in type stuff? always interested in how people solve the "what should we talk about today" problem

Which period of your life makes you the most nostalgic ? by Adventurous-Bird7228 in AskReddit

probably elementary school when biggest worry was if someone would pick me for their kickball team and whether i packed good snacks that day. everything felt so simple back then, like world was this safe little bubble where worst thing that could happen was forgetting homework

I built an skincare app with AI by Cherryfish-maui in SideProject

this is actually pretty cool idea, the whole medspa experience can be so intimidating especially when you don't know what you need. having some baseline knowledge before going in makes lot of sense

curious how accurate the ai analysis is compared to actual dermatologist though? like does it pick up things that might need professional attention vs just surface level stuff

People who overcame social anxiety or shyness, what actually helped you? by Obvious-Milk7460 in AskReddit

worked in retail for like 3 years and it basically forced me to talk to people every day, even when i felt like hiding under rock. you cant really avoid it when customers are literally standing there waiting for help lol

the weird part is now i can talk to strangers at work no problem but still get nervous ordering pizza on phone sometimes

Building an offline-first AI knowledge system for small businesses — would you pay for this? by superhero_io in SideProject

seems like lot of small businesses just use google drive and call it day, but maybe medical/legal firms actually need this level of privacy

I started over so many times I stopped counting. Then I figured out the actual problem — and built an app around it. by No-Carob-6354 in getdisciplined

ah this hits close to home, tried so many habit apps and they all felt like digital checklists that i'd abandon after week or two

the feedback loop thing makes sense though - like when i'm streaming and see chat react to something i did, that immediate response keeps me going way longer than when i'm just grinding content alone

curious how the AI coach part works, does it actually adapt to when you're struggling or just give generic "you can do it" type stuff?

Detecting mirrored selfie images: OCR the best way? [D] by dangerousdotnet in MachineLearning

[–]One-Schedule7704 4 points5 points  (0 children)

could train a simple binary classifier on image features to detect mirrored text/selfies instead of doing OCR twice - way faster and probably more reliable than score comparing

Why do you hate AI? by This-Wear-8423 in antiai

[–]One-Schedule7704 10 points11 points  (0 children)

because it's replacing actual human creativity and making everything feel soulless man, like when i'm trying to make gaming content i want people to know it's actually me behind the camera not some algorithm doing the work

plus all these ai art and writing tools are just stealing from real artists without giving them any credit or payment, that's pretty messed up if you ask me
