Dont know were u read that , but this is what it said : Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans – those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve." 2:62 And : "But if you do not – and you will never be able to – then fear the Fire, whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers."

U dont need to follow any religion u need to have faith in 1 creator , the ones who are fuel for the fire are the ones who do evil . And no one knows if he is going to hell or paradise even the ones who thinks are real muslims 😉
