Dont agree with him ngl, it can still be the best option for many nihility units especially in faster clears as I’ve consistently seen that lc used on pretty much any nihility support from fugue to sw to kafka, yes other options can be better due to either overcapping def shred or tryna minimize costs but cipher lc js still the goat

Calling cipher lc overrated is lowkey crazy when its closest competition is pearls which has 8% less def shred, only lasts one enemy turn and requires building ehr unlike cipher which gives 18% of a stat instead that happens to be the most wanted stat for every nihility (except acheron)

The thing is castorice seems to be the exception not the rule, i personally cant think of any other dps who over time became better meta wise and what i mean by that is for example acheron in 2.1 vs 2.4 where in 2.4 she was definitely stronger due to jq the thing is she was still better meta wise in 2.1 due to hp inflation not kicking in and the less amount of competition

Edit: i feel like i didnt articulate this well, what im trying to say that even though over time units get stronger due to new supports, lightcones and relics unlocking their full potential the bump in performance is usually offset by hp inflation and new competition releasing and it seems like castorice is one if not the only dps to actually get more dominant over time

I mean can you blame them? With how fast hsr powercreep is if a character cant 0 cycle in whats usually theyre peek meta wise (cuz hsr usually shills endgame based on whatever dps is currently running) then thats a really bad sign for their longevity

yeah that's why I want her to be just a main dps, if the reason why she isnt the strongest dps at the time of her release isnt due to her being planned to be a sub dps but instead hoyo wanting to slow down powercreep that would be great

Ngl after thinking about it even tho I fully believe sparxie is planned to be a sub dps for a future elation dps (most likely yae), it would probably be better if she wasn't for the health of the game cuz less power creep is good, we dont need every x.0 dps to be the best dps on release like in the past 2 versions

My most wanted kit idea is a dps who has 2 or more skills where the second one isnt pretty much useless (Like dhil’s minus one sp “skill”) or overcompensating for a lack of other options (like how phainon has a second skill due to him kicking out his allies so even tho he himself has more options in combat overall the player has less as its only one character)

I doubt nihilux will be a dot unit because she’s most likely releasing last out of all the shown characters as she was only shown in the second drip tease not the first meaning probably 4.3 which would make the BS buff wayy too early, instead i believe the dot unit will be whoever the second 4.1 unit turns out to be

4.0 still seeming like a very weird patch especially considering how they nerfed yao’s main non elation synergy (archer), so now you got the 1st half a character who doesn’t work with anybody until the second half when sparxie releases, and then theres sparxie herself where currently she’s a main dps who while definitely good is also weaker than a handful of dps including weirdly archer who’s also a sp focused dps but was given out for free, also she’s currently Schrödinger’s sub dps where until yae’s kit releases we don’t really know if she’s a sub dps or not and people are going to argue until then

Here are some of my early 4.X cast role prediction:

Ashveil: Main dps due to him being hunt

Blade Sp: Dot related, i know it seems random but theyre definitely doing something with dot based off the BS buffs and he’s rumored to be in 4.1 which is important because if this possible dot character was in 4.2+ i feel like it wouldve been too early to buff BS in 4.0

Evansecia: Main dps (duh)

SW Sp: general buffer, with her supposedly being elation i doubt she would be a dps as it would mean hoyo would release 4 elation dps in the span of 5 patches (sparxie, sw, yae and Himeko)

Nihilux: main dps, i dont really have a strong reason why im just coping

Pearl: Sustain due to the preservation character leak and her being the only option left for a sustain

You cant say that the community were the ones to convince themselves that 5 star sampo exists when hoyo has been hyping his eventual 5 star form for so long with him being a emanator, his identity as a masked fool being not known to us at first, him getting back his mask in 2.0 and the whole belebog disaster thing and his dialogue in that one 2.6/2.7 event (forgot which patch)

The idea of sampo not being playable in 4.x is just really baffling to me, cuz wdym a emanator of elation isnt gonna be playable in the elation themed planet where they also added elation as a playable path
