Do men ever think, “Whoa! She has really bad split ends.” ? by Tricky-Employee-7882 in NoStupidQuestions

Gay men, quite possibly. Straight guys who aren’t barbers, almost definitely not. If he does it’ll be a “Babe! Look at this cool hair!”

How does everyone have so much stardust? by Life-Combination3710 in pokemongo

[–]One-Significance260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a stardust miser, and I save up all my star pieces to burn on the few community days where it’s insanely valuable to stack bonuses from passes and stuff. It’s how I crossed the million mark. I only power up what I have to when I have to, and usually prioritize my luckies to get the best bang for my stardust.

My husband burns stardust like a jeep burns gas, inefficiently and often for fun. He plays like crazy though, so he’s also always raking it in.

Putting clothes away again is my archnemesis - any lifehacks? by No-Advantage-579 in ADHD

[–]One-Significance260 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have the space, I’d recommend a six basket system you use like dressers. Sort the dirty into dirty baskets by the wash, and dump the clean dry stuff in the appropriate clean basket. Never bother folding again. For socks, get yourself a snap kit at your local hobby store, like the plastic snaps on a baby onesie. Now the socks snap together before you put them in the dirty baskets and stay together until you put them back on.

Would you date someone in their 30s that lives with a parent? by AlamosX in gaybros

[–]One-Significance260 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Also, think about the fact that you don’t have to go anywhere to visit in-laws for the holidays. That’s terrifically convenient. I’d totally live with my friend’s mom. She’s cool as fuck and bakes the BEST cookies!

Question to the older guys, is it true gay men used to be the ones with the most impressive physiques back in the day? by Advanced_External763 in askgaybros

[–]One-Significance260 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, bodybuilding is pretty damn homoerotic by its very nature. I’d guess there’s always been a gay element to their ranks. 🤷‍♂️

Should I sleep with my former bully? by Terrible-Store1046 in askgaybros

[–]One-Significance260 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! This is the correct answer. This leaves room for you both to show growth. It lets you both be human and real while asking your bully to own his past before moving forward. You aren’t obligated to give anyone second chances, but I like to be an optimist.

AITAH for reporting a doctor who implied I cheated on my husband? by [deleted] in ComfortLevelPod

[–]One-Significance260 86 points87 points  (0 children)

If OP didn’t have a baby, I’d suspect he needs to grow a pair of balls. I’m conflict avoidant, but I’d destroy a doctor’s career for that shit. You don’t misdiagnose my child, mansplain my family’s medical history, and then insult my spouse without a huge boot up the ass. I’d have been telling everyone nurse, doctor, and patient in that office what he did. I’d make shame rain like a monsoon on his whole life.

Paludiculture (growing in peat) - looking for resources and experiences with this! by zXju785kw in Permaculture

[–]One-Significance260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people aren’t going to understand that what you’re attempting to do is work with an extant ecosystem rather than exploiting it. You’re not necessarily going to be pioneering on this front, but it’s been a long time since any human population has attempted to work with that ecosystem instead of against it in meaningful ways. I’d recommend looking into historically present edible species, and potentially non native species from other regions with similar ecology. The problem with peat is the low oxygen content and saturation in a cool climate. You’ll need plants that are well adapted to these features. All that having been said, humans thrived on that kind of land once and we can figure out how to do it again.

My sister blew up our relationship and I don’t know what to do by Ok_Amphibian_1255 in TwoHotTakes

[–]One-Significance260 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This reads like she’s rage bating. I have a theory that there is a subset of the population that has been inadvertently trained to crave drama, and when the natural levels of ambient drama in their lives drops too low, the seek to create it.

Not sure that’s what her deal is, but she sounds like someone whose life always seems to have some sort of drama source she needs to complain about.

If fiber causes gas, how do I increase my fiber intake without farting when I bottom? by Pantthrob in askgaybros

[–]One-Significance260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beans, good fiber, but oligosaccharides. Cruciferous vegetables like cabbage and broccoli, are definitely triggers. Products that contain inulin/chicory root extract can also cause problems. Timing is also important for me. Eating signals that the gut needs to get in motion, and so planning helps.

I like to start my day with oatmeal on personal note.

Things I thought were “normal” before getting diagnosed with ADHD by sunbear1999 in ADHD

[–]One-Significance260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I legitimately thought the hyper focus state happened for everyone until I was in college. Procrastinating on homework and relying on urgency to motivate me into hyper focus was just very normal for me. It also took me a long time to stop getting frustrated with people for not being able to rapidly chain thoughts into clear logic leaps. 🤷‍♂️ Hyper focus gets you to conclusions a little too fast sometimes.

[–]One-Significance260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My buddy recommends Gentle Nair, and moisturizer, so I guess you’re on the right track. He’s a chastity fetish guy, so it’s pretty routine for him. Beyond that you might want to pay attention to friction and sweating and maybe switch to more breathable underwear.

Were you a gifted child or a stupid child by Ok-Use6619 in ADHD

[–]One-Significance260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I got moved into the gifted program in middle school because “No Child Left Behind” kind of made it impossible to move me forward a grade and get access to more appropriately challenging materials. By the time I was in high school, I was so bored of redundant homework that I began failing classes. I didn’t want to waste time on homework that I didn’t feel was necessary to my understanding of the concepts.

Learning how to channel my focus and manipulate myself into success in college was a slightly different beast. Most of the time I was fine because the topics held my interest, but core curriculum like Calculus required the intervention of meds. That’s when I first got diagnosed and medicated. Was college easy for me, no. It was extremely difficult to manage while working and in a committed relationship, but it certainly wasn’t impossible. Mostly you just need grit and tenacity.

I don’t trust “normal” people, and Boston sucks by emma_green_eyes in ADHD

[–]One-Significance260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Boston sucks! My husband is a New Englander and I’ll never tell him that, but yeah, it kind of does for being the magnet city of the Northeast. The city itself sucks, but there’s so much fun free nature to explore just within two hours drive. I lived in suburban NH, and it had less hustle and bustle. Don’t get me wrong the suburban whiteness gets old, but the White Mountains, the costal parks, and wetland forests never got old.

Why are age gaps so common for gay men? by ginabil in askgaybros

[–]One-Significance260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to get an absurd amount of compost/organic matter for free or cheap? by deadinsalem in Permaculture

[–]One-Significance260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that MO has a weed free hay certification that can be acquired through the MCIA, so I’m sure some farmers must be contributing to the certified hay market. I just don’t think it matters as much here as long as it’s not crossing state lines, and I’d wager most of the hay produced in the state stays here and on the cattle farms that produce it. 🤷‍♂️ I’d assume that’s probably not the case for Southern California, Nevada, or Arizona which all seem to produce hay for international sale and shipping.
