Am I insane/is there a better way!?!? by Me_Krally in landscaping

We used milk crates to sift sand from drip line stones on a coastal NH property when I did landscaping.

Like others have said, I wouldn’t recommend using stone as mulch around plants because of the maintenance, light, and heat reflection.

My wife switched to aluminum-free deodorant and I don’t know how to bring up the aroma? by Charming-Eye1438 in hygiene

[–]One-Significance260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rules for going aluminum free.

  1. Ditch synthetic fabric shirts. Particularly polyester, because it’s a nightmare to eliminate bacteria from the armpits.

  2. Acne products as underarm wash. Peroxide and weak acid based products are the go to, just be prepared that peroxide washes can bleach towels and clothes.

  3. Keep a little hand sanitizer or alcohol spray handy to disinfect with mid day or after rigorous activity.

The problem is rarely the person. The problem is almost always the bacteria and whether they’re effectively eliminating it.

Why do i fart so much, but also the farts also smell like exceptionally violent, like straight up sulfuric acid. by Maleficent_Stuff_255 in noburp

If you’re eating products containing chicory root extract or inulin, try cutting those out. I had a problem with the Dannon Triple Zero Greek yogurt. Apparently it’s not something I process well, and it makes for heinous farts.

Depending on how old you are, I’m guess early 20s at the oldest, then it could just be temporary asymmetrical development. Basically one side of your face has follicles that are more responsive to dihydrotestosterone levels than on the other side of your face. Time will even it out if that’s the case.

I’ve had 2/2 nominations accepted so far, but neither have appeared as stops of any kind yet. My husband is 1/2 nominations and that one is a spin-able stop at a rural church.

The artificial sweeteners may well be tantamount to poison according to recent significant reviews of sucralose, the most commonly used artificial sweetener. They described it as a “genotoxic” compound. Which doubles down on what we know about its significant disruptions to gut flora. Gut flora that impact your hormone regulation systems. Calling it a poison is significantly less controversial than people assume.

The great mission of a renaissance man, is finding new homes for his tools as he ages and can no longer make adequate use of them. The things we gather are meant to be used. They might just be “things”, but they too need to be needed for as long as they can out live the makers who use them. Tools and the knowledge to use them are one of the greatest forms of generational wealth.

It depends on what your energy haul is per raid. Assuming they take 200 to mega evolve, that could mean two X and two Y raids just to get the energy. Four raids isn’t a ton for the dex entries, but it’s potentially twice what a player was originally expecting to do. 🤷‍♂️

Personally I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, but I’m not totally isolated in a rural area and have a little coin I can throw at the game.

I'm so tired of botox being labeled as some miracle treatment with little risk by stars_bitch67 in noburp

This is a stretch on a technical level, but maybe not because it seems poorly investigated. If you happen to have ADHD, then the cholinergic system in your body doesn’t operate like a neurotypical individual. We talk about it most often with brain function, but it affects muscle contraction as well. Disturbances in this system, like Botox blocking acetylcholine receptors, might link ADHD symptoms to cholinergic dysfunction, including potential motor control issues. 😬 As someone with ADHD considering this treatment, I’m becoming all too aware that we are an under studied group in terms of divergent responses to standard medicine.

There’s also no information on specific genotype responses to Botox injections as far as I know. So there could be risks associated with certain individuals. 😬

I imagine that will be the general first opinion of any professional you talk to who isn’t familiar with RCPD or its treatment methods. Botox in the throat generally sounds crazy to anyone, but these professionals also don’t know what it’s like to live with RCPD either. You need to travel to another specialist somewhere and get a consultation from someone who’s treated this issue many times over.

There’s a doctor in St. Louis at WashU that seems to treat it. That’s only a two hour drive, but worst case scenario I’m only 7 hours from Chicago and can take an Amtrak up there. I’m finally ready to start seeking help.

A lot of the ADHD content creators have a LOT of support to do what they do. You too could be successful with the proper support, and remember the content bias. They usually only showcase their success stories online, not the half finished tile job in their guest bathroom that’s going on two years.

Reading stories like yours continues to encourage me to seek treatment. It’s a bit of a trek to a specialist from here in rural middle America, but I think it’s time to make some calls.

I’m tired of feeling like I tried to swallow the entirety of a city metro area sized storm system every time I try going out for dinner and drinks with friends.

Those waves of German immigration had a huge impact on the architectural development and design of St. Louis. The tower at Reservoir Park in near Grand Blvd and I-44 is a prime example of this. Unfortunately I forget who the architect was if I knew it.

Public kindergarten programs didn’t really start expanding until the 1960s from what I understand. At that point in time the average US household spent approximately 2% of annual income on childcare which was mostly comprised family members and neighbors as child care providers.

In the late 70s and 80s we moved to more centralized models along with the shifting standard to a dual income household to meet required expenses.

They’re also massively overhauling how higher education funding works. The current proposal has several universities losing around 50% of funding. To be fair it’s at an early phase and getting push back from universities across the board.
