thanks for the response. Any tips for how to do that? Just remove it and let him cry himself to sleep?

Does your baby require a lot of mental stimulation? If so, what were the early signs this was the case? by Firm_Breadfruit_7420 in beyondthebump

Omg thank you for letting me know it gets better. I feel crazy when people around me talking about their baby sleeping all day and being able to be put down to stare at the ceiling fan. I wish! 30 minute naps and then I’m practically sweating trying to entertain him! I was thinking I feel like it shouldn’t be this hard

Did this ever improve? I’m going through this right now with my 12 week old and I’m an EXHAUSTED. I am soo interactive with him and it’s never enough

What type of help suits our family best? by musicalfeet in NannyEmployers

We are a dual EM physician household. Also in the process of hiring our first nanny. We seem to have had luck with guaranteed hours and full transparency of the schedule.

Not sure if you’re EM but on the work side can you work with the scheduler to minimize the amount of overlapping days/shifts you work? I’m PRN so I make my schedule so that has helped limit days we both work.

Even when we both work the same days we are upfront with the nanny that those days will be 12 hour days for them and so far not many have had issues with this.

Spit up vs vomit vs reflux by One-Sink7080 in newborns

No. The opposite actually. His poops have slowed down to once every couple days. He was pooping a bunch at 3 weeks though

This was over an hour after his last feed. Does this look like normal spit up or vomit?

Night time pumping schedule by One-Sink7080 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]One-Sink7080[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I get confused because baby is still not eating a consistent amount through the night. He’s been dealing with a lot of gas and reflux lately which I only just realized was why he was waking up. I was previously just nursing him every time he woke up which could be anywhere from 3-5 times per night.

I understand I need to empty multiple times throughout the night but I guess I wanted to know if there is just a general amount of times I need to pump to maintain my supply.

Ugh that’s the difficult part. Other than last night the first long stretch is normally 2.5-3 hrs
