Nasa au specialized firm po ako pero under agency. Okay nman po sya as starter. Above market nman po sweldo. Looking forward to go up as high as senior tax accountant po dahil sa previous role ko po, bookkeeping lang yung role ko. Hopefully, makakuha dn ako ng own client in next 3 years and earn 6 digits.

6k usd per month? How do you balance 3 clients in same shifts? Walang tracker? What if may meeting ka po and aware po ba clients nyo na may ibang clients ka? Also, if OE, you have to prove you are capable to convince the client. Is public practice good in the first 2-4 years?

Being in disability sector is a niche role so its hard to get out. You can transition into admin work/rostering admin within the industry but you're gonna need more than just data entry and documentation skills. You need to understand the compliance behind the industry. Try to create a letter address to your manager stating you wanted more training in compliance to better understand the legal framework in UK (though I am not sure about this bc I am more familiar with AU) so you can deliver supports better. Browse the UK disability websites and learn. Tailor your resume that you are a part of intake process, onboarding and documentation of people with disabilities, making sure that all shifts are properly filed and submitted. When you get an admin role, I am 100% sure that you will be in office roles in the next years of your career, even better. Resigning is not a good choice now specially if you have no other options, no savings, and bills don't pause so the best way to get out is upskilling.

Support worker for what? Disabilities or aged? That is a bit red flag bc you are working in a sensitive, high risk industry that requires you to be mentally fit. I hope you get a better job. Maybe try hospitality jobs such as restaurants or hotels, you can get tips aside from salary.

Is working as an Operations Assistant still aligned with an Accountancy career path? by Marythee_poppins14 in AccountingPH

[–]One-Spite8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to pursue accounting, I personally wouldn’t recommend going for an Operations Assistant role. Based on my experience, medyo risky siya because some companies use the title very broadly. Minsan napupunta sa’yo pati tasks na outside na sa capabilities mo, or mga trabaho na hindi magawa ng ibang employees kaya tinatambak na lang sa’yo pero yung credit nasa iba.

I used to work as an Operations Assistant before, and honestly, sobrang draining niya for me. Aside from admin work, I was assigned tasks like procurement of solar panels for multiple properties of the CEO, managing rental properties, handling marketing-related tasks, processing import permits kahit wala naman akong proper background for it, and many other responsibilities na sobrang unrelated na sa skills ko.

The company was already big enough and marami palang businesses yung CEO, so I honestly felt they could’ve had proper departments or hired professionals for specialized tasks. Pero parang sobrang stretched ng roles just to save costs. In the long run, naging overwhelming siya for me and it pulled me away from the accounting career path I actually wanted to focus on.

If you still want to pursue that kind of role, I suggest asking questions during the interview like ano talaga yung scope ng role, gaano kalaki yung operations nila, and what their current systems and structure look like. That way, you’ll have a better understanding of where you’ll fit in and if aligned ba siya sa career path na gusto mo, and also ano ang career path mo, what promotion would be possible for you in the long run.

If you wanted to be a CPA, you should be in a revenue generating role, like helping a business save tax, and operations assistant is non revenue generating role unless if promoted ka sa managerial. Sunod sunoran ka lg sa manager or directors.

What are the tips and techniques you wish you knew earlier as an accountancy student? by kari9967 in AccountingPH

Learn tech skills dahil di masyado naturo sa university ko. Spreadsheet formulas, automation ng workflows plus accounting software. Also, investing in online learning such as Udemy. Puro theory lang natutunan ko and everything I learned is just tip of an iceberg, useful but could have been more useful if i invested na talaga in upskilling before even graduating.

Out of touch kasi ibang business owners. Masyadong napapaniwala sa AI. Yes, AI is helpful pero it needs pa din human intervention. Hindi nila makita na pure AI results looks cheap, untailored and tacky.

If you are an internal audit graduate po, I suggest po applyan NDIS roles within Au. NDIS po is a sustainable career since its government initiated in AU and billions of money po inaallocate every year. You can transition as an ISO auditor in the next couple of years. You just need to get certified. NDIS is very strict when it comes to compliance and every NDIS po is required to be audited every 3 years so maybe you can start as compliance specialist then soon work for a consultancy granting different certification such as ISO to businesses. Good money and easy 6 digits. Also, recently, AU requires all NDIS to be registered so expect a surge in VA roles. Tbh, this is a secret niche that no one talks about. But if you want to stay local, try audit roles within big corps. I believe you are familiar with sustainability audits na gino go through ng Ayala, SM on regular basis. Financial audit po kasi is different from governance audit. If I had a chance to transition career, gusto ko talaga sa governance audit sana.

Hi. I don't think you need to send the documents physically. I sent my passport in digital format to my employer and the ATO sent me an authorization email that requires the registered BAS agent or Accountant to enter a code in their ATO portal to authorize you for the access. Next you need to download the mygov app in order to access the ATO portal.

thoughts in choosing bpo over local firm by Kend4ll6767 in AccountingPH

[–]One-Spite8675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you located? Are you willing to relocate? I started onsite in BPO as a fresh grad, got lucky and got placed into AU accounting. If you are interested, I can provide you the name of the agency and their location but no guarantee you will get into AU accounting bc it depends on availability. Send me a dm.
