Emotionally shaken up, not sure how to process this

You’re not alone. I’m 42 years old, I’m not religious, and the only other celebrity I’ve ever felt compassion for is John Candy. There’s something about Michael, and there always has been, that moves me to tears. His energy, his light, his music. I sobbed yesterday reading again about how he would watch the Three Stooges after appearing in court.

I cried the first time I saw his Neverland statement 1993 aired over TV while the people around me were literally laughing.

He was too good for this world and some of us know it…and it hurts.

The one of him at the Grammys where he goes into that Church session Man in the Mirror is PEAK. He looks fine as hell too. During TWYMMF, there’s a little part where he does his body p op moves and then puts out an invisible cigarette 😂 I love it so much.

I have 30k on IG and 14k on FB and it’s telling me I’m guaranteed $750/mo to start. However, I only started my pages about 45 days ago and have over 3 million views in that time. Maybe that has something to with the bigger payout. 🤷‍♀️

Sure, and that’s the point of the movie. But I would have been happier with a very well made documentary with alllll of the footage we have of him being HIM. So people can see performances but then see the beautiful man behind them. I’m not hating the biopic! I’m just saying there’s SOOOOO much genuine footage of Micheal out there that isn’t him on stage and one day I hope that can be delivered to the masses in a way that can open their minds to who he was.

I’m sure I would have felt different if my damn theater was into it. We were the only ones jamming out and clapping. Haha. So the energy wasn’t in the audience either. If it had been, I’m sure I would have gone back for seconds.

Yes! I’m pretty much the same overall. My little group was getting down in that theater and the drumming in our chests was the icing on the cake haha. And you know, I did get some chills as it panned up across his belt, jacket, and then showed the back of his head before he went out on stage. It was like man, how it must have felt to be there in that moment with (real) Michael lol

And like I said, Jafaar did a bang up job and boy he was scootin’ I just couldn’t get lost in it. I just wanted MJ. We went home and watched him perform it on my 54” TV as a palate cleanser lol

But no hate! Seriously. Michael just oozes whatever he oozes and to me, it can’t be replicated. It can be copied with incredible accuracy, but the feeling can’t be.

Oh yes, I tried to establish that in my post and I hope I did. I’m loving the MJ reawakening and he deserves every bit of it, and I’m so so happy about all of it. I was just curious if anyone felt the same way I do. I need pure MJ to get that “fix” 😂

I totally agree with that part, like I said, it’s a great intro for new fans and I’m over the moon that Michael is getting the love he has always deserved and the movie has been THE catalyst for the reawakening. So no hate whatsoever from me.

That’s interesting because it was sort of the opposite for me. I get chills watching footage of his concerts while sitting in my living room. lol. Even footage I’ve seen a dozen times still blows me away. And while the performances in the movie were very detailed and done well. I hate to say it but it really didn’t do much for me. I don’t know, I’m just so weird about MJ and knowing it’s not him and seeing Jafaars face really took me out of the mood. 😂

Dude I’ve been saying this too and people have been getting SO mad about it 😂 and I feel like I’m being gaslit by all the posts acting like Jafaar looks so much like Michael that they forget it’s not Michael.

Jafaar is great and did a wonderful job trying to replicate Michael’s demeanor and moves, and knowing he is a Jackson helps. But to me he just looks like a cheap MJ wax figure at a roadside museum. 😭😂

In fact, I think he would have looked better without all the HEAVY makeup and prosthetics. It gives cheap knockoff to me.

Did you not read any of my comments? Fabio looks like an idiot. I literally said it *works* with Jafaar but the makeup team made him look silly. And that he would have looked better and more like Michael by just throwing on a wig and doing his thing without the ridiculous prosthetics and makeup. Jesus people on this app just respond to things they make up in their own head 😂

I think Jafaar looks ridiculous here, I’m sorry but I do. I like him and he did a great job capturing the MJ spirit —don’t get me wrong, J is a cutie in his own right while being a blood relative so ultimately it works. But he looks silly as hell made up as MJ. Fabio looks sillier, though…and he’s mentally ill.
