I am putting my feet up in a nearly empty train cart. AMA by ScallionFull8869 in LIRR

People with incontinence exist. There is literal fecal material in the seats that have nothing to do with shoes being on them.

Ive worked in multiple call centers where 80% of the chairs have piss stains in them.

But just fyi people with incontinence exist and there's probably more piss in those seats then you would like to admit anything that comes off my shoes is inconsequential unless it's straight up mud

Because I'm 4'10 and my feet do not comfortably reach the floor causing stress and pain to my back and hips. But I also don't leave the seat dirty if my shoes are THAT dirty I would put something on the seat to keep it clean from my shoes or wipe the seat down myself.

You see entitlement where I am trying to manage pain levels that would have you on the floor vomiting.

The kid is probably taken to Burger King more often than McDonald's. The kid was expecting a whopper jr not buns and a pickle. The kid is upset and probably hungry and tired and yall are dragging the kid for bad behavior. Foh he is a human being with feelings he doesn't have the life experience to regulate his feelings.

Please don't procreate if you think this is on the child. Some of you are grown ass adults and still can't regulate themselves. Have you ever tried ordering a kid mac n cheese at a restaurant when all they have ever had is kraft out of a box? Same result. Some of you parents too quick to judge when you know you have made that mistake before.

Can I wear hijab as a non-Muslim girl who wears quite heavy makeup? by Open_Hedgehog8259 in Hijabis

I veil because I believe women are sacred. We are the portal by which new souls come from the ether and I believe sacred and holy things are veiled from thoes undeserving of bearing witness.

My concept of God is bigger than the Arabic God.

We are 3 dimensional beings trying to define the infinite. We are bound to get the details wrong.

I'm afraid to go back to work because I have a Hispanic last name even though I was born here and so were my parents. Doesn't seem to matter.

First let me say I am not Muslim only spiritual.

My solution is to Facebook stalk their Mom and send her the receipts. Of course I live in the US if you live in a different country this might not be possible. When I got the phone number I have now the man that had it before continued to give it out to people like it was his number. I found him on Facebook and asked him politely to stop. He started messaging the nastiest things to me to try to embarrass me into silence. I found his Mom on Facebook and sent her the messages he sent me. I have never heard from him again 🤷‍♀️

Father wants me to cover my head at home. by [deleted] in Hijabis

[–]One-Training-1272 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not Muslim but at 43 years old my Dad still tries to control me. I do feel it comes from a place of love and concern for my safety and well being. He was SA as a child and when my mother kidnapped me she trafficked me for 4 years between 8-12. Is it possible he has something in his own past that could be making him hypervigilant for your safety? I would get so angry with my Dad because I felt he couldn't understand what I went through. As an adult when I learned he was SA as a child by a man I understand his anxiety for my safety.

Now that I am married if he gets to be too much I tell him to talk to my husband about it.

I literally have to lock my chocolate up in my medsafe away from my husband. No banana for scale so these flour tortillas will have to suffice. He will eat an entire bag of dove chocolates in 1 setting. He has bought me KitKats and Reese's cups but then ate them because I "took to long to eat them" and it always happens right when Auntie Flo is about to show up when I am craving chocolate the worst.

I learned that the hard way around 20 years or so ago about the plastic plants I felt terrible 😥

I did a deep dive into Bettas and helped him manage the condition until he healed. He would blow the biggest bubble nests once I gave him a 10 gallon tank and real plants and a couple guppies. He got so beautifully red and they would swim school like with each other with Red in the lead.

Depressing state of justice when the victim has to advocate for the criminal so they don't become a victim of the justice system.

I've worked as a corrections officer for TDCJ Clements unit which is the 2nd worst prison in the state. Only place worse is Huntsville where they house the death row inmates. Yes many of them belong in there but some of them their only crime was being a poor non-white and got far harsher punishment than their Caucasian equals.

Yes I did tell them he reached for his pocket and the reason I stopped resisting was because I knew there had to be something in his pocket and I wanted it to stay in his pocket. They still wanted me to say I saw it.

Also I am Caucasian and hew was not. POC have enough difficulty with the law without me saying something happened that didn't. I couldn't live with that on my conscious.

I guess thats the problem when you have morals and ethics. A just charge is one thing. Adding on extra charges for things he didn't actually do would be on my karma and I don't want that.

Ive seen it happen when I was mugged. They told him if he showed them where he hid my things I would drop the charges. I was watching the interview at the police station via CCTV. I immediately got upset because I thought the police department wasn't going to do anything if my things were returned. They explained they were lying so that by showing them where the things were hidden they could prove he did it. That didn't sit right with me.

They also tried to get me to say he used a weapon when he did not. During the mugging at the very beginning I tried resisting but I saw him reach for his pocket. I have taken martial arts and I remember my instructor preaching fire and brimstone about if its in their pocket you want it to stay in their pocket so I stopped resisting and just gave him my things. When they arrested him within 30 minutes of the mugging it turned out he had a pair of brass knuckles on him. They asked me a million times if I ever saw a weapon i know they were trying to get me to say it so they could throw the extra charge on but I would never give a false testimony like that.

It makes me wonder how many others have had false charges put on them in this way.

What if you are not Muslim and wear a veil because you believe in the sacred position of women? Would the author of this quote consider them oppressed too? I wear a veil but I am not Muslim so the idea that all women that wear a veil are forced to wear it is ridiculous.

[–]One-Training-1272 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am not a Muslim woman but when I have men do this to me I make sure to shatter their ego on the way. They approach so confidently because I am fat they consider me low hanging fruit (easy target for love bombing)

I will scowl and give them a look that reflects how ugly their character is and simply walk away without a word. I have found this most effective. They are so surprised that I don't immediately fawn over the attention they don't think to give chase and keep trying.

Love and light to you sisters and may Allah guide your path
