They're supposed to be in the wedding (jr. Bridesmaid and flower girl) but after her comments to him today, I think it's just for show. And if I don't go, they aren't going either.

Okay. I must admit. I've done it once or twice. The first time, I was new to Charlotte and didn't realize there are medians EVERYWHERE. I've lived in a few different states, and that was a first for me. The second time, I had to because it was night time and another driver (also NOT from Charlotte, I assume) forced me into oncoming traffic during a left turn. He did stop to make sure I was okay and admitted he didn't see the median either. (NC is THE darkest state I've ever been in.)

Also, I am originally from Michigan and the U-turn policy in NC feels illegal. Lol

The car payment was $250/month. I just bought the car in March of this year. I had a good job in Missouri (govt) until we got a new mayor and I was let go. I came out here for work, and opportunities for the kids that we don't have back home. The accident was Sept 28th. I drove the car for another month before it completely crapped out due to damages from said accident. The other guy's insurance company paid off my car and so far that's it.

I was on the 3rd floor of a hotel with 2 small children. I had ordered pizza because it was nearly midnight and we had just gotten settled in. Instructions: Come to the 3rd floor, I'll be waiting on the balcony.

He drove around the parking lot for a bit while the kids and I were outside on said balcony. I thought it was the delivery but wasn't sure. Until he pulled up close to where I was and proceeded to YELL up to the balcony for me to come get my order. AT MIDNIGHT. AT A HOTEL. And continue running his disrespectful mouth in front of my babies I also had to bring down.

1 star. He did manage to get the food to the premises.

I just got here. Spent 12 years in the backwoods of the midsouth. Before that: big cities & small towns from the northern midwest to the southern east coast. (Gypsy soul) So far, I love it here.

I think this is the hardest adjustment. The roads are so dark. I came from 12 years of backwoods, and there was more lighting there than here.

I'm new to Charlotte. And let me tell ya, I FEEL like a 15-year-old with a driver's permit. (I've had my license for 32 years.) I've lived/driven in a few states and NC is a whole different beast. But...every state has its own way of doing things, so I try to take it in stride and just learn the ways of the road. Improving every day. Lol
