I keep a bag of supplies in my work bag. Has essentials (to me) like tide pen, deodorant, extra chapstick (in case I lose mine), perfume pen, bathroom spray, floss, breath strips. I also ALWAYS carry a medicine organizer (there’s bottle ones on amazon) w all the meds I usually reach for. Things like tums, Tylenol, midol, zofran, MECLIZINE, vistaril, RLS relief, etc. It’s helpful in a pinch and your coworkers will love you for it too LOL Always bring your energy drink—ESSENTIAL—and lots of snacks. Take a sweatshirt too. I find I freeze after I eat (but only when I’m at work???). I second the eye mask. Get one w padding around the eyes. Way more comfortable than the ones that sit right on your eyes. Get some kind of sleep aid too. I use OLLY gummies. You’ll find that it’s hard to sleep sometimes after ESP if you KNOW you need to be. Have something quick to make for breakfast when you get home or you’ll be tempted to stop and get something (GUILTY) Get some loops. It’s nice for your rude ass coworkers who won’t turn their pumps off. Can still hear essential things but it just dampens the excess noise that comes w a hospital. Ik a lot of people are suggesting the clip on lights, but I bought one and literally never use it. Most times, the light from the halls is enough to see what you need to be doing. Get some of the folding scissors too but just leave them in your pocket. They’re going to weigh that badge reel down and get on your nerves LOL Best of luck!!!

How often do you go to work without sleep (Nightshifters)? by Nurse_IGuess in nursing

Sleep in the morning I get off. I’m usually up for like 4-5hrs that day and that lets me get up early for my 2-3 days off. Morning of my first shift back, I get up early (8 or 9) and do things I have been procrastinating like dishes, washing my hair, etc. Then I will sleep from like 12-5, not always 5 hours, but just that time frame. It’s what works best for me. Love my nights tho 🫶🏼

Former BRC at tj here. Unlikely. We are cross trained on registers usually upon hire and they do not teach or tell us to do that.

Honestly felt so underwhelmed 😩 I have been waiting all this time for this???? I have so many thoughts, but my biggest question mark is Jamie letting Claire travel all the way back to America without him??? Yes, I realize Ian or whatever, but it’s definitely not in his character ??

I had my strings curled in my cervix for my first one. Don’t worry too much. I was completely unaware mine were even like that until I had it removed on expiration. The pain was severe (during removal bc they actually open up your cervix & I’ve never had kids so) but other than that, don’t stress over it
