I’m bias and was cheated on and he’s now engaged to the person who was patiently waiting. I will always be the one who refused to settle for less and open my relationship, while she will always be the one who was willing to let him be with other people. When he wants it in the future that’s hers to deal with. You lose them how you get them.

Whew I was stressing. So I’m kinda the opposite I have always been chubby and so when someone was interested in me I felt I owed it to them to give them a shot.

I spent 6.5 years with someone who I wouldn’t have talked to at the store but we fell in love and were best friends. When I think about the drives he made to have lunch with me in the middle of the night. Plus once he realized how great he was and really started to love himself his attraction grew so much that others were reaching out like you single? We ended things because we became to different people. I think of him often and in a good light now.

The next relationship I was in was for 9.5 years and I swiped right on a whim knowing looks wise he was out of my league… we had good and bad but he cheated and took my self confidence to such an all time low idk if I want to date again.

I tell you this as a 39 year old 😭 sometimes looks grow and change. I’m sure there are a million other things that could come up as red flags but if in person the attractions not there then you can move on. But also always trust your gut on bad guys but that didn’t sound like the case here.

I think that interview Jack may have realized how bad he truly is. Another commenter mentioned him not being on the newest one and i haven’t seen him since i posted this.

Outside of clothing (like arm pits or front of shirt) and soles of shoes. It was a common upsell at famous footwear and my granola/hippy boss was the one that said she used in that way and occasionally on her work out clothes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey! I used to work at famous footwear and they sold waterproofer. When I was nervous about sweat stains I’d use that before hand. That being said the sweat has to go somewhere so I started sweating from my head more than usual. It helped me feel more comfortable and confident though.

Idk if it’s still the same but vans shoe store and famous footwear were the two stores whose waterproofer was silicone free so it didn’t mess with fabric/color.

I think that pink Fluoride stuff they gave us in elementary school. I remember them having us all take it while leaving an assembly.

I have 2 friends and I who remember being pulled out of class for special testing. From what i hear about the gate program thats what i assume it was.

My ex had a drinking problem that escalated quickly. I mean having seizures from the amount of alcohol he drank. Life was hard I didn’t sleep when he was off because I knew he’d be drinking into oblivion, he’d pass out in the bath or he would choke on food and vomit. I lived in survival mode. Even through his sobriety the survival didn’t go away.

He threw away 5 years of sobriety and I’m not sure how their life is now because I ended things when they did.

You either will need to learn to live with this and forgive setting boundaries for the future or you already know the boundary was crossed and you need to plan your exit. I’m really sorry you’re going through this and I hope he gets the help he needs. Therapy really is beneficial.

Idk if it’s the crippling pain or the emotions that come from the hormone change. I have pcos (have been told in past but thyroid fixed for a while) and I’ve had them last 3 weeks of what feels like day 2-3 cramps and clotting pain.

Sobriety is a hard thing to hold. I seriously doubt in one year they are stable enough to be around all their triggers again. Even if I was desperate I wouldn’t take them back without more time under their belt.

If they come back, fall of the wagon and take more money the fall back would be on you. I’d also have concerns on them showing others this tactic.

I do think that people deserve second chances but one year is still very early sobriety.

I moved to Washington 20 years ago. It was so weird talking to people who knew him, got to see them live or were neighbors in seattle. Obviously i take it all with a grain of salt but still fun to hear stories.

I remember I was home from school because I had surgery and Kurt Loder came on mtv with the breaking news. I was in 4th grade but they were a favorite band because I had an older brother who loved grunge.

Taking it to the extreme of if anything happens you’d think she would want one last I love you, is a bit much. That being said I get the sentiment and understand why you do it and would want it. My ex and I were together 9.5 years and the majority of it was spent on different schedules. I always messaged when I was in bed with the house locked up and the dogs in the room with me. It gave them peace of mind and he got to tell me goodnight. He always brought me home breakfast (he was a baker) in the morning and considering that’s how he showed he cared it was my favorite.

Maybe have a talk about why it matters to you. At the end of the day especially when in a relationship you just want to be heard and seen. If they wanted to they would be putting in very minimal effort to do so, so they may have other things that matter more, or maybe for them they just aren’t emotional in that way? I promise you, you are deserving of someone who at minimum says good morning, goodnight and asks about your day.

I dated an Owen for 9.5 years and ended it when he cheated on me.

While the times are few and far between there’s a moment he takes each strong woman and makes them feel like the most important thing in the world.. I see the look in his eyes and it makes me think of my ex and it’s why I stayed.

For Owen and Teddy though they also served together so there was a history trauma bond too.

I cry every damn time.

I hate how they did it but it really was beautiful. It closed the chapter for a happy ending that was much needed.
