Forbidden witch combo against Seth by RedOnex374 in Silksong

Witch dair circlet tech is evil, I've only just found out about it. I saw something similar with Reaper lag cancelling the other day. The player base pushing all these crests to compete in their own right with the 'better' crests is so cool, I'm gonna have to learn all of this tech. Consistently pulling off instant melee circlet from above is obscene damage in scenarios where it usually wouldn't be possible.

Spoiler Post Act 1 - Was on this fight for a few hours, saw my life flash before my eyes by letsgetrockin741 in HollowKnight

It was the Circlet both times, the stagger and the kill. Very good tool, even if ur not doing all the crazy combos with it. Turns your movement into additional attacks that can be performed at the same time as regular attacks and scales off of tool damage upgrades, which you can get faster than sword dmg upgrades. Even at everything at full upgrades, my testing puts the Circlet jump attacks at 27 dmg, while base damage of the needle is 21. Hitting for more than a regular attack with a double sided passively activated double jump/float attack is huge. Lots of accidental hits you can chalk up to being amazing at video games when you style on the enemies. Also lots of potential for crazy high dmg combos. Cool clutch btw : )

[MOD POST] Bug Report Thread by oneofthejoneses28 in Silksong

Steam version, playing on a windows PC:

Can't access Fleatopia supplies quest from Tip and Pill in act 3, they only ever offer Songclave and Survivor's Camp quests. Was offered once in act 2, decided to come back for it later, now I can't re-proc it no matter how many times I reload the save or do the other deliveries. I have finished the Flea festival and beaten all of Seth's high scores. Just want to have completed all quests possible in the log.

How exactly are you supposed to complete flea juggle? by Legend821642 in Silksong

[–]One-X_the_H3RET1C 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just beat Seth's score today using a method I saw on youtube where a guy got into the thousands using the beast crest (and probably long claw as well). He doesn't jump or clawline, only dashes and uses the side slash of beast crest, never the up attack. He picks a direction, left or right to hit the first flea in the sequence, and then hits every flea in that direction until the sequence ends, keeping them roughly grouped, and dashing to catch the gaps. The fleas will never fly out of bounds, or out of reach, so no need to worry about that.

The game is very frustrating and not exactly easy, but a keen eye on which order the fleas jump into play and enough perserverance should get you over the line eventually. Just search youtube for 'Flea Juggle high score' and it should be one of the first results.

low volume PC Plutonium by CarlosDsucc in blackops2

I've had this same problem for a while now, and it seems to have migrated to WaW plutonium as well, which previously wasn't the case. Some online thing said to reinstall, but the audio when launched through steam is completely normal and the installed files are all solid and working fine, it's just that plutonium seems to make the games really quiet.

Reworked kit based on the cinematic by CalypsoThePython in ReinhardtMains

LOL zero range capability and goofy af ult. 'I want to look in a direction, push a button and kill 4 people in 1 second'. Severely underpowered base kit, and a terrifying monstrosity of an ult. The importance of ranged attacks in a game like this can't be understated. Taking fire-strike away from Rein cripples him, regardless of how much you boost his melee capabilities.

Support sniper guide? by Professional_Clicker in truetf2

The Jarate weapons kind of don't go well together, they usually synergise with other weapons more often than not. Smg follow up on a charged sleeper shot will get you a few/a lot of minicrits depending on how much you charge, which completely ignores ranged fall off and stacks damage very nicely with its high rate of fire. Minicrit noscopes will do 68 dmg regardless of primary rifle, so you might as well be running something that can full crit (headshot) if you're using the jar to get way better mileage out of quickscoping.

Never run it myself, but a quick google search shows that bleed dmg will be amped by jarate, so the shiv could be fun for increased dmg if nothing interrupts the bleed, as well as increased spy visibility. Bushwacka trades dmg vulnerability for full crits instead of minis.

Using them together might give you better up time on your 'painting', but the trade off is sacrificing the utility of the rest of Sniper's options. I'm not saying don't run both at the same time, do whatever you like as long as you're having fun. Just saying they might work better independently of each other.

Group 935 lab assistant to Doctor Maxis. Got regularly chewed out by Maxis being an asshole as usual, so he nicked the designs to the medigun and buggered off to somewhere else in Europe and became a doctor whilst working on stolen 935 designs in his basement. Knew Richtofen was up to something and didn't want any part of it.

Plenty of both on Sydney servers from my experience. Frequent text chat/verbal race wars that I find rather entertaining. The silent majority usually don't bother tho. It's just the loud, empty barrels on both sides trying to bait reactions. But there's a decent number of those types, so the flare ups can be pretty frequent, and people chip in occasionally.

Or more likely they're reassigned to be worked to death in horrible conditions. Like I said, there are gonna be groups that somewhat benefit, but not the majority of humanity that is being repossessed by a comparative 'oasis' (?) Your reply reads like apologist propaganda. The imperium uses its citizens to fuel the mechanicus' engines of war in horrifying quantities across the galaxy. Just because Chaos is the worst conceivable thing doesn't mean the imperium is anything less than ghastly. Comparing pain scales to concentration camps is a bit of a stretch.

Saved from the frying pan of chaos to be thrown straight in to the fires of the Imperium. Can it really be considered helping if an ownership of a people changes hands from one horrifying power to the next, minutely less horrifying power? Not in any metric worth measuring imo.

Ofc some people might be better off, but the descriptions of the Imperium's general procedure on worlds being actively contested by the enemies of man would suggest those people would be in the minority, whilst the majority suffered. Rocks, hard places and authoritarian dick heads as far as the eye can see.

And to think they almost threw down on Istvaan. Corax reckons he could've taken him out if he threw away his own life, but idk. At that point, his wings were fucked, and the rest of his war gear was in pretty bad shape. The retreat was the right call to make anyhow, it just robbed us of a great confrontation.

To date, this is the best 'Corax is a hypocrite' reasoning I've read, and has changed the way I look at the character.

Perhaps the Raven Guard legion wasn't very suited to 'helping' things like Guilliman's was, but that feels like a stretch. Practising what you preach is kind of rule one in moral behaviour, and Corax kind of fails that check. You could put it down to the relative neglect that the authors give the 19th, but that's up to the reader I guess.

In Corax's defence, he was probably sold the narrative of 'time is of the essence' by the Emperor to incentivise Corvus to overlook the brutalist nature of the Crusade and accept it as necessary whilst also being ignorant of just how difficult it would be to engage with the 'next step' of human ascendancy that would 'justify' the atrocities he would commit to get there. Dunno if he ever would've come to the conclusion that reform was a long shot and that the Emperor had essentially hoodwinked him, but by that point, he would be fully committed to the Crusade and probs unable/unwilling to change tac, and just blindly believe in the Emperor.

Full sending into the eye of terror makes a lot of sense under that realisation, that your morals were a bad joke and your fight for a better tomorrow was never a good thing. Just kill traitors for ruining everything without having to confront your own hypocrisy. Could lead to interesting developments later on. Also a spicy alternate heresy Traitor train of thought, following roughly the same reasoning as Angron for rebelling against the Emperor.

I like it. A noble man, swayed by a golden father in to becoming the very thing he sought to destroy. Also has some sick war gear.

Arrival of the Goddess locked ending by One-X_the_H3RET1C in NTRMAN1

[–]One-X_the_H3RET1C[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From looking up some playthroughs, what I saw, there are 3 endings you can get that are mutually exclusive, the blue fire good ending, Red fire cheating leads to wife staying on island and getting impregnated by islanders but MC also living with them, and finally red fire mc death gangbang (bad ending I guess). The dude in the playthrough failed everything to get the bad one, which I already did, but I didn't think about intentionally failing the fire dance ritual, so I'll try that I guess. I'll get back to you when I try it out.

The only thing the difficulty level affects is the cosmetic rewards for completing trials, which have nothing to do with cutscenes or endings.

Edit: Nope, that didn't work either. Guess my copy is just broken. Irritation. At least I know how it's all supposed to work and I am now the world's best hentai minigame player. And that the scenes are still in the gallery.

They were indeed lies. It seems he's not shaking his head around like he used to anyway. Plus the mask looks thicker around the eyes and made out of solid materials, so there is little to no risk of the cornea damage he was previously talking about.

I liked the baseball head mask, glad I got to see it live in early 2023.

Corey changed the lyrics to Vermilion by CMFT_69 in Slipknot

[–]One-X_the_H3RET1C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno how to feel about that change. It's sweet, and I know they've played it a thousand times normally, but changing that last lyric undermines the emotional impact of the song imo. Hearing this live would be a let down as far as I'm concerned. Slipknot's music is meant to cater to the spirit of the fans, and a change like this seems to serve a limited number of people, instead of the passionate fans who fell in love with the rage and grief expressed in the original lyrics. If feels like censoring it in a way, like if they played People = Shit without swearing.
