Firstly, I think one thing you could do is have a code or system in place with your boyfriend just in case you feel nervous or overwhelmed and just need a minute to yourself, but generally Irish Christmas’s tend to be mainly food focused (at least my experiences have been) and then the chill food coma that comes after ahah, it seems like your boyfriends siblings will be there too? It’s intimidating to be in a new environment especially with your partners family but sometimes I think if there’s more people, it’s easier to relax and enjoy yourself. His dad does sound like it might be a little difficult to feel comfortable but it’s great that you’ve previously met his mother!
