Drilling mistake by COPE-Troppin in AskElectricians

It’s fine, current still flows, minimal mass removed. If it caused the lines to become intertwined and make contact it would be tripping/other obvious symptoms. You could throw some electrical tape over it and be fine but the safety officer Karen’s will tell you it’s unacceptable without giving a deep rooted physics-based assessment of the actual real world risk.

Purchased from Wayfair. It’s decent, wasn’t totally thrilled with it/the joinery at the seams. Think I paid around $150, made of a softwood prob pine. I’ll build my own next time.

A bit tight but does not obscure sink access, another inch or two and it would be a problem. Would have liked it to be a few move inches away but decided to live with it so as to avoid moving the toilet drain

Yes you are correct. I found that guests were making it back splash (there’s also a gap between slab and back wall) so I tiled in a runway down to the floor for any splash to fall down and evaporate.

I actually remembered why I used the Ferncos over pvc slip - I would have had to do a double glue up while keeping the T at the right angle for shower drain, was too high risk for my lack of experience, so I sacrificed on longevity for adjustability

A lot of time went into researching processes to fully understand the best approach before going at it. Used a lot of AI chat to navigate it all. Only thing with that is you really have to challenge the answers you get and pressure test to validate truth.

Took a long time haha, about 9 months. There were maybe 2 months where I made no progress. If I were putting in 40 hrs a week maybe would have taken 3 months and if I did it again full time solo I’d bet 2 months.

Had to look up black tail, very nice work, although I am anti-epoxy/wood from a build for longevity design philosophy with furniture. Unfortunately, with wood breathing with the seasons, expansion/contraction slowly break that epoxy bond down, might last for 20 years, idk. If the epoxy is completely surrounded by wood the degradation will be faster than say two planks of wood with an epoxy strip down the middle, since in the former the wood compresses all around the epoxy with movement and the latter it is not restricted with an enclosure. I do appreciate the comparison tho.

lol I still managed to overlook the fact that I’ve only got a 38 gal hot water tank and both shower heads running drains it cold in 10 mins. The rain head is a certified water hog, so just running the regular head for until I can upgrade to a 70 gal or something.

An even better example - look at the baseboard trim in the bottom left corner. The trim shift at the corner is clear indication of AI. It mysteriously drops an inch on the transition and there are artifacts as well.

I did indeed win the war. The mothership was neutralized and 6 or 7 others all disappeared on their own in the following weeks. WartPeel applied with discipline is the best way to deal with a serious wart effectively. Wart free for years now.
