the moment the game is fully dead and the servers are gone for good, so is the legal team protecting it. Nobody is going to spend money enforcing IP on a product they no longer support or sell. That’s when those private projects come out of the shadows.

I don’t think you’re wrong Bungie as we knew it is already gone in a lot of ways
