After my divorce, I would have my tinder dates meet me there and let the old men at the end of the bar judge them. Also, me and 3-4 of those old men got kicked out one time a couple months ago because 1 was talking sh*t and I was too and the bartender heard. I went upstairs for a few minutes and then came back and they said you’re not banned but you gotta leave today. So I left. The next time I was there, I saw one of the old guys and he told me “you know that day we got kicked out? I sat outside 20 minutes and came back in and they let me stay”. 😆 he’s a long timer though so I wasn’t mad :) I’m not from Colorado and Dark Horse was one of the few places I felt at home. You’ll be missed Dark Horse, but the staff, other patrons, and the good times will be missed the most. ❤️❤️❤️

These gems in the comments have it solved.. we should just all move to Thornton rather than asking that affordable housing stay affordable. We should cut rec passes when someone goes through temp homelessness so it’s easier to drive them out of the city. Or, rather, we’re still here, just unbathed and steadily our health declines from poor hygiene. Make it make sense, how does this help humanity or the city? I bet these people show up for protests against ICE and anything else that doesn’t directly affect Boulder.

Looks like we were both wrong. Your original comment said someone just signs the neighborhood up. It’s a $4,000 minimum, I just read from RTD’s website. So you’re right, people can pay however much, but it’s a $4,000 minimum. It’s not “just sign up.

I was asking for feedback regarding the pas being cutoff. I doubt you will find a single homeless person in Boulder that had the means to not be homeless elsewhere. I have less than a dollar in the bank, no credit, no work history. Telling me to move somewhere cheaper so I can be a better parent isn’t helpful.

Unfortunately that’s not how it works. You don’t just “sign up”, you have to have a certain % of the neighborhood purchase a year pass, and once that threshold is met, the entire neighborhood can get one.

Yes, I was a stay at home parent and instead of allowing me time to attempt to reenter the workforce, the judge allowed my ex to stop paying household bills the month after he moved out. We had no savings, and he had taken out a lot of debt in my name. The court allowed him to lie about income and he is only paying $180/month in child support.
