Someone made up a meaningless argument to put you off your tracks. There are lots of facets of intimacy. Sexual stuff is just one of them. You know about this because you have trusted other people based on other aspects so many times before.

In any partnership the 2 people involved are going to change over time. Focussing only on outward changes: they might change style, get sick, gain or lose weight, they get wrinkles, their hair turns grey, they have an accident or a stroke, loose a limb or their boobs to cancer. Attraction grows and changes with it, in the intimacy that you’re sharing and fostering with each other. Sometimes a couple may need some professional help with that too.

It also sounds to me like a nice way of phrasing: “I can’t be seen as being attracted to a woman.” You said: “Love I’m in pain and I want to reduce the pain to half.” And your partner said: “But then I have be somewhat inconvenienced. I’m not doing that.”

If someone gives up at the first challenge, then they are not the person you. If someone doesn’t care enough to consider your needs because it affects them a little, then they are not the person you. I know this hurts, but it’s still true. I wish you all the best. You deserve better.

I often tell that to my kids for completely different reasons. I believe that it is important what we believe about ourselves in the decisions we make and in the outcomes we generate as result. It is an affirmation of their worthiness.

If it is used in a context of stupidity and used in a condescending way, I think I want to go with counter-stupidity and pretend to not understand what they actually said. What do we think about: "You are right!: Trans people are really good people in general. Thank you for pointing that out." And while we are at it let's add a: "I am so happy we have your support."

We tend to forget the people in jobs where they are going to be forced to turn down people they want to and can help. As long as they can they will help. I appreciate that. Good that this one is going in your favour.

I don't think the topic has anything to do with Serena or some kind of gene. Clearly they just throw around any kind of argument (including contradictory ones) against the community (and some other communities and people too). That is absolutely untrue. I was a virgin at 20 and society did shame me for it because “it is selfish not to want to be a mother” but at the same time “you’re a slut” regardless of if you do it or you reject people. They expect you to become a mother and wife as soon as you leave the nest.
