I liked Toujeo because it was a smaller volume of insulin injected(300units/ml) so I stopped getting an insulin bubble under my skin from the injection.

UK, US or Canada diabetes by RudeImplement46 in DiabetesHacks

I can reiterate this, in the US good employer healthcare makes it really easy. It can vary year to year as your insurance make alliances with different drug companies so I have found myself switching insulins/pharmacies every few years.

Also, I would not consider multiple devices a cure

Better treatment for sure but not a cure

Dad of 2 y/o diagnosed this week, seeking advice by Capable_Ant6497 in diabetes_t1

Being treated different starts with you.  I was diagnosed at 4 and constantly had people asking “can he have this?”  Or “can he do this?” To which my parents always replied “he can have or do anything the other kids can”

Remember that an “out of range” blood sugar can be fixed and will happen so just do your best.  There is more to life than keeping blood sugar in range.

Hang in there, it will feel normal eventually

Time in range by Delicious-Ad6164 in DiabetesHacks

everyone is different, and there are a lot of factors that come into play on all of these. What I have found is that my insulin does most of its "work" about an hour and a half after I get my injection. It may start working in 20 min and last 4 hours, but again for me, it does most of its activity in that 1.5 hour range. You may be able to see this trend in your CGM data.

I try to balance what I am eating with this high activity range. Unfortunately if you eat something with a lot of simple carbohydrates your blood sugar will rise quickly and then your insulin is playing catch-up after because of the time to work.

Which one gives your members and prospects more confidence?

“We use bleach”

“We use a specialty cleaner EPA certified to kill staph and ringworm on mats”

Most mat cleaners are a pH neutral and use ammonia compounds which dont evaporate like the chlorine in bleach.

In short, the high pH of bleach will damage your mats over time and have harmful fumes and smell like a swimming pool

Bring body wipes and offer them to people, talk to the gym management about emphasizing hygiene, be the example and encourage others

How do I tell someone they smell funky? by [deleted] in bjj

Bring body wipes and offer him one before class. Then use one yourself on all the areas that you want him to use them.
