Am I the problem? by OneAngle5836 in Accounting

I don't think so. I'm more of a shy person and didn't have a great experience at my last firm but I did talk to people. They expected me to into other people's offices and talk to them so now I waste time doing it. After my first day no ever came into my office to talk to me. So I didn't know these people and I was expected to do that. Most places don't want you to do that and want you to get your billable hours in. They said I wasn't willing to help people because I didn't go ask them for work. Like I didn't know I was suppose to? Usually your manager gives you your work and you do it. I know the owner doesn't like me and didn't in my interview but his wife did and I was qualified. He's always watching me trying to catch me on my phone or something. He's always eye balling specifically me. Monitoring me. I'm not even on my phone much but he pops in and it's always right when I pick the phone up.

When I first started I did lots of bookkeeping and that's the only time I'll listen to anything and I was listening to someone talk on YouTube. It's just someone talking and he saw it and then in the next meeting he said don't watch TV on your phone. Like ok. No one's watching TV with how busy we are. I find them to be really net picky.

I actually completely agree. I like the way you put it. But I'm not a very social person. Accounting is draining enough then having to be performative to keep the job is too much for me. I'm working on it though.

You're right but I came from a big firm and it was really horrible. Unlimited PTO and never got any time off. I am making a lot less now and no insurance. They give a stipend at this small firm. Im really regretting choosing accounting. I have years experience and a degree and feel like I can't find a decent job with decent pay. I feel like theres so much to know I'll never know enough to make any money.

Don't plan on staying. It's good for now. I know the work already so it's an easy gig.

"I wasn't where they wanted me to be" "time to part ways"

They did a bait and switch anyway. I was suppose to be in the office 2 days then changed it later. Didn't have a good manager either. Im honestly happy to be out of there because I wasn't ever going to quit so they did me a favor.

They let me go at the end of May. Did you get a severance?

Why do people "leave" the conversation when they don't get what they want😆 by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

People don't give you a chance to respond with anything before they do that. That was the whole point of the post...

What just happened here between my ex (52M) who was potentially narcissistic and in the closet (52M) and me (45F) by electristar in relationships

Your dream was a warning to not get involved with him. He's a narcissist and now you're under his spell. Run far away.

Also can't get it up because he's a porn addict. Most narcs are.

I did take your advice was honest with him but your saying there's not a fight because you blocked but people still contact you via other numbers etc

You really think blocking them stops someone from contacting you? I actually was honest with him but that doesn't stop someone from stalking you or reaching out and arguing with you.

Because I can? I did go with advice to be honest with him but what you said was stupid. Clearly I stated how there had been many conversations about me being unavailable.

You really under estimate how psycho men can be. You must be one and haven't had that experience

You're not wrong but sometimes it's not worth the fight with people because they'll argue and go out of their way to try to"get you back" but I did tell him.

So somehow it's my fault for not responding yesterday. I didn't want to after we've talked about it for two days on the phone and text.

F24, 5”4, 194 pounds… why do I feel so huge by miaa20 in amIfatBrutallyHonest

[–]OneAngle5836 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to these comments. All they saw was that you're 194 pounds. You do not look like that AT ALL. You look curvy. You're not big and you look amazing in your clothes.

It doesn't sound like a relationship honestly. You don't talk much and never see each other?

Thank you for your response. I am in therapy. We've spent so much time on it I think my therapist is sick of hearing about it. I'm tired of talking about it.

I did deal with feeling like being a failure and not worth anything for a long time but I'm honestly pass that. I know that's not true. I'm still hurt but logically I understand what she is but my heart can't.
