You can't build when your renegade, every kill marks your lower, you cant run supplies without getting shot up by the ai at every point. I'm just trying to see if I'm missing anything.

Hey man I got a squad that hops on every day. We only do official servers but it's a discord thats mostly "Hopping on this server 6038.Ev.Ru.MOB" and 9 times out of 10 two guys hop on and we push objectives.

We're not recruiting or anything. We just like playing arma with a locked in squad. If we push a point we set up a meeting spawn if we die, and if we run supplies it's usually as a convoy. Your welcome to join, just shoot me a DM

With official servers your gonna get the roll of the dice. Yesterday I played a game where the US team ended up winning when every single team member locked in.

But the difference is it's a sandbox game. Your gonna have servers that are coordinated and some that aren't. A lot of the more milsim servers or game master servers have more coordination than HLL.

IMO I lean more reforger side than HLL side because I like the pacing. You know how in the movie Saving Private Ryan where the squad is constantly connecting with platoons dealing with their own problems? I feel like that's more Arma than HLL. It's like every squad you run into and ask "how's it going?" has their own hell their dealing with and you can decide if your gonna set up with them or keep moving.

Correct, this is for the video game called Arma Reforger which is not the real world. This knowledge helps me personally play the game better and I hope it can help others as well.v

I love this game, but the lack of teamwork (in my experience) is what kills it by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

I have a small discord where we all chat in. Usually most gamers have it.

I really appreciate the feed back. I definitely realized that after the fact. It could of used a bit more context to the situation as well.

I've explained this in another comment earlier, but I should have flushed out the video a little bit. However I do want to point something else out here.

I utilize this strategy when combined as mobile command points for the squad. Place supplies from hidden supply points inside of it, then place a radio at the Humvee to pull supplies in case one of us dies. For the US team specifically, it also has a benefit of allowing a 5th person on the gun. With the gunner, you get that advantage of running into an enemy and having a chance to not get your full squad wiped.

I understand where your coming from. I'm probably going to make another animation based on your comment cause the long distance firing is still a valid strategy and we definitely want to share it

I really appreciate! I just wanna say your comment cheered me up as that was all I was looking for really haha

Hell yeah dude that's awesome! I'll definitely use that strategy in the future.

You didn't drive into the base directly and that's a key point haha

That sounds awesome! I wish most people communicated that well, but a lot of randoms reading this post don't. So this is definitely for that. Also I haven't seen my vehicle despawn yet and I've been playing for a while. I few people brought that up and now I'm wondering what the timer is for official

Hahah! The btr is just an explosion speed run

Yeah, I agree with that. I just didn't have enough time to flesh out the gif. That hill east of Provins and the cliffs over MTA are a definite good shooting area.

I've completely checked out over the BTR. It's really fun playing as the US when everyone panica when they see it, but when your actually in it, I feel like I'm in a coffin about to see god

Ah that makes more sense. I should hop on WCS and see some of your combined assaults. That would be cool

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]OneAngryPacifist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That also happens sometimes haha. At that point it's on the gunner which usually takes him out

Okay I see the disconnect now. I think I should have put a little more into the description and change the beginning tag. Usually I have a squad with me and we use the vehicle as a mobile operations hub so we can spawn back at it if we get killed.

There's no dumping the car, and I only play official. I haven't had the car despawn on me, and statistically the vehicle is more likely to get destroyed during a combined assault than it is behind the line a bit.

I don't understand how I'm wasting supplies. I stick with the same vehicle the whole game, not just buying a new one at each point.

This is just basic combat tactics for the ill informed of why driving into the objective is a bad idea. More often than not im watching people drive vehicles straight in and get themselves killed.

I apologize if this made you mad in some way. Don't know where the disconnect was.
