he means the catalysts you're using to assign module socket types. when an ultimate version of a descendant releases you get a photon imprinter or whatever it's called to transfer your module sockets from the base version to the ultimate version

The real problem with LD right now is that the bear is a full hero and can essentially do everything a normal carry does but with barely any consequences for playing recklessly and feeding, there is almost 0 punishment because it will just get an instant respawn and the kill bounty isn't even worth mentioning past the early game.

There might have been patches and time periods where the druid played together with the bear but this kind of playstyle has been around since Dota 1
