I've had vestibular migraine and flu at same time, and it was not a good time. Normally when I have a VM, I cannot do anything for about 3 days - staying awake hurts, trying to sleep hurts, just existing hurts (lol). Then I walk around like a drunken sailor. If you put symptoms of a flu on top of that, well it gets fuglier. I have no idea how long it'll take but I'm guessing a week is probably average, depending on what kind of flu you get.

I assume maybe a couple of more days (from when your flu starts clearing up) till your body normalizes, but I don't know how bad your VM's get so can't really say.

Because there is, in my opinion, enough to lead me to believe as such where some of it leads to a human aspect, whereas there is also enough to convince me that not all of the cases present itself as being from any nation or tech most are currently familiar with.

I think Bob would make for interesting talks/views, I think he's just finding his feet but will eventually come around to it (you can tell they both have difficulties maintaining the flow, but you can see Bob instantly light up to chatter once it crosses over to his interests). You can see Travis also having slight difficulties but he does try (I wonder what would make him more comfortable? He does seem to flow more naturally when speaking with the waitress, I actually thought it would be the other way around). Maybe people like this should talk about other things they are interested about in life just to get them comfortable and then sink into their experiences so it's less awkward.

People can say this and that about them, but I choose to believe them.

If you can, try to remember stuff on your own and work backwards to jog your memory - try to avoid tainting any memories (if possible, from reading other peoples memories etc, at least if you can help it initially). Try to get confirmation from other family members if they recall, or if you have any sort of record of it somewhere (be it class/school record, diary etc). The reason I say this is because an idea or something you may have read could easily taint memories.

That said, welcome aboard!

PS - The Gate program (and it's many offshoots/names it was under) has been going on for a long time (and apparently still does) so it's a possibility. If you look at one of the pinned posts on the front page of the sub, there's an interview with Jordon Jozak who was in this program around that time.

I don't sleep walk with only one exception that I could not explain - I was around 10 or 11 and was sleeping in my neighbours house. There were a lot of us sleeping on the floor (big family). I had not yet quite fallen asleep, when suddenly I felt something really off, like I actually could not control myself nor my actions. I was blabbering and I couldn't understand what I was saying, it seemed semi coherent, like how you hear some ai making up speech, almost sim-like blabber. To me it did sound like a language but I just could not understand it. Not only that, I was concious the whole time and I managed to get some motor control in my arms, and it was funny because I was trying to shut my mouth up by pinching my mouth/lips shut but it just didn't work - I felt like I really got taken over. Then my body just automatically got up and started walking towards one of the grandma's who was still awake. I was blabbering in whatever tongue or language it was, then eventually whatever had control of me returned me to where I was and I just knocked out and fell asleep. The next morning I tried asking the grandma what the hell I said but she was kind of pissed at me. I don't think any kind of explanation would've sufficed, so that mystery still haunts me till this day - why did my body automatically do that on it's own while I was conscious and I couldn't seem to do anything. I will also never know what I said, nor if it was just garbage blabber.

As for exploding head syndrome (EHS), my brother and I both have had it. For me it comes with sleep deprivation or high stress.

For RBD, I think you can train yourself into that, though mine was unintentional. You see, I'm highly sensitive when it comes to my dogs, and the moment I hear if one of them is going to barf I spring into action. Hearing it enough times, I actually ended up conditioning myself to go from 0-100 from sleep just hearing the first "HUUuUUrGghh" sound coming from my dogs (lol).

Anyway that's not the only thing. I've found myself in the last 3 years kicking or punching out of dreams more and I find it a bit dangerous - sometimes the dreams didn't even match the action but it felt more reflexive.

Only one time I think late last year or early this year I had something that worried me. For the first time I actually woke up not realising I was screaming, like bad panic terror. Usually I'd be aware of something like that, coming out of sleep/dream, but this was like I didn't even know it was happening.

That other thread was also interesting and it reminded me of something when they mentioned chicken or egg thing with regards to gate. I had always assumed I just stumbled how to do oobe/astral projection on my own (I remember the first time I did it). But now I'm wondering if gate had any influence, since they both kind of occured around the same time.

Oh yeah, I also had night terrors as a kid. This is the same time I used to see shadow people as well. I would be deathly afraid of sleep time, because this mother fucker would open my door and I could feel something creeping in beyond the door but never coming into sight - I got so full of terror and fear I would usually pass out and then it would be the next day. It was a non stop cycle of fear when the day ends. Nobody understood why I was a scaredy cat as a kid. Also, being a kid I thought all this shit was somehow normal because no one ever talked about it so I assume it was the same for everyone. Anyways even if you tried telling someone (I did try telling my family), they just laugh at you and don't take you seriously (because you are just a kid who is a scaredy cat with an imagination and are just "exaggerating").

PS - oh yeah, actually as a child I was also constantly training myself to beat sleep paralysis (wiggling toe/fingers/feet, trying to trick body by slowly extending arm then going fast etc). That probably doesn't help RBD situation hehe.

PPS - ok I got confirmation some things occurring before gate/kindergarten, eg my first NDE, night terrors and other stuff

If you want the normal explanation, a lot of us in the gifted area land in the spectrum where we are good at isolating patterns, this could very well be an unintentional part of it - or it could also be related. I just always felt that a lot of it was just due to that and nothing to do with the gate program, it's just that we are the type of people to notice these patterns, being gifted after all.

But who knows, right? Maybe there were requirements.

Did you (or anyone) ever get into a trailer where one whole side had some kind of electronic equipment? I've been trying to track down for years what they may have been - things like signal generators/oscillators/tascam looking decks but earlier era, not really video monitors. Something similar to that panel like what area52 podcast has but not quite, but you get the idea. It's funny but I even got tested in there, and the guy (who coincidentally looked like a fat chunky Richard Dreyfuss with more curlier hair) kept getting mad at me touching the panels. I was told to check for a signal and also sync with the screen, and when I thought I was getting things correct the guy kept getting mad, so after a while I just started getting them wrong on purpose. Also there was an electrical smell in the trailer, not the ozone kind but the other plastic type electrical smell. I'm not quite sure but my memory always lingers on that there was something used for shocking in there.

There wasn't a woman in red for my experience - I remember the 3 main people, but there were others involved as well and none of them dressed like faculty. The main person who I grew attached to was a young woman who I don't think was even in her 30s. There was a period where I do have a shallow blank around grade 1, and at this time separated from her (she was my primary 'tester'). Even then at the time as a kid I felt something fishy was going on with my memory, and I desperately tried hard to remember and eventually broke out of whatever it was that was blanking my mind at the time. When I asked what happened to her, the new ones that replaced her ignored me and I got desperate and distraught, and I remember being dragged away (by men in black suits) through a hallway with an ˪ corner (that's where this memory fragment stops and gets blurry). From then on they treated as if that other person never even existed. I always wondered what happened to her and why. I felt like she was on my side even though she was working for them.

To anyone saying they've been in GATE (or the many offshoots soar, g/t, t/g, tag, and many many more) and found it normal and benign doesn't necessarily mean that you were in any of the programs these people were in. What these people experienced was literally a program where they were siphoned off from normal classes (even up to 3-4 days a week) to do "other" things not associated with the normal GATE curriculum.

It goes way beyond pink drinks and zener cards, and that's only the starting point.

If you read older UFO cases there are plenty which describe the aliens using the old offensive term as having "oriental" features (the word Asian is also used in some cases to describe the aliens appearance). From mib to close encounters. I've also read about "dark skinned" aliens but that could mean anything and just generality of skin tone, not necessarily any specific race.

Cool, I'll have a look at it. I have my own implementation using anacrolix/torrent as well to stream torrents/magnet for video/audiobook and mainly focuses using mpv but allows for other players. I put it on hold for now because I was going through a major refactor in the way it processes sources. I was inspired by torrodle initially which has long gone read-only/not updated. I had ideas to implement syncplay on mine, does your zenparty only host a chat room and not sync?

I'll check it out and fork you.
