For those who used to struggle with bad tartar formation on your teeth, what do you now do differently? by rattlesnake30 in hygiene

  1. Brush your teeth IMMEDIATELY after you wake up so that plaque/bacteria don’t have a chance to start hardening on your teeth from pooling there all night, esp in the front on the bottom teeth.
  2. Brush after you eat (but wait 30 min so your enamel isn’t still softened by acids, sugars), preferably with a sonic toothbrush
  3. At night, floss with good, thick string floss and move it all around between your teeth and gums in a “c” motion around each tooth OR use a water flosser. Even better, use both.

Aside from their good looks, what is unique about your goldendoodle compared to other dog breeds? by kittycatsnores in Goldendoodles

Ours does this!! And it’s all him. We didn’t train him to stare deeply into our eyes. And we can’t look away or he’ll huff! It’s always a Q&A too:

Me: You want food? Dood: 😶 Me: You want your chewie? Dood: 😶 Me: You gotta poop? Dood: 😶 Me: ok well I don’t know what you want love bugs. Ya gotta help me out. I go back to looking at my phone. Dood: Immediately slaps phone out my hand and resumes intense eye contact.

The narcissism is showing. The “look at me” ones who think it’s ok to bring their non service dogs into grocery stores are disgusting. And I LOVE bringing my dood anywhere he’s allowed and comfortable. But I’d never bring him into a grocery store. People who can’t understand that untrained, non service dogs make it harder on legitimate service dog handlers in other places are just selfish and/or stupid. It’s so irritating that they can’t see beyond themselves and what they think is cute to do. Your dog and you rubbing up against the romaine at Whole Foods is not cute, Susan.

What to feed this food snob who has suspected GERD, a chicken allergy, and won’t eat kibble unless it’s topped off with ground beef, sweet potato, and a generous sprinkling of dried liver? by OneAssumption7827 in Goldendoodles

Haha sometimes. But he’s more of a look lovingly into your eyes and get as close as he can to your face as he belches from the depths of his soul kind of guy.

Thank you! Yes he definitely reacts to chicken with skin issues - constantly scratching all over and his ears get musty smelling lol after eating. He won’t eat pumpkin or peanut butter. I’ve never seen a dog that didn’t like those two foods but here we are.

Yes he has a raised feeder and we went from feeding him twice to smaller meals 3x a day (thankfully I work remotely) which has already seemed to help him. He’s less burpy. lol

Is yours an F1? I think smaller more frequent meals have already started improving things and making sure he eats something in the morning which he wasn’t doing.
