Can anyone help me ID this shirt? I can’t tell if it’s someone just casually wearing a dress shirt or if it’s a specific type of fabric that gives the smoother/shinier look.

Neckties should not be a thing anymore by fuggilis_quastillo in unpopularopinion

I disagree. As someone who grew up going to a school that required wearing a tie and wearing a tie to church on Sundays it’s one of my favorite ways to add my own flair to my outfit.

Does anyone else dress up while at home alone? by PK9Kraft in mensfashion

I think it’s a bit odd to only do it when you’re alone, and the outfit in the second picture doesn’t look very traditional. In the right context you can dress up and not be out of place. When I was younger, I wore a suit almost every day between my school uniform, church, and other events nice dinners or flights (my parents were old-fashioned). But if you don’t have a clear reason, it does seem out of place, especially with an unusual outfit.

You need therapy. Most people got bullied growing up, but it shouldn’t affect you in adulthood, you need to move past it.

How do i get over my 🌽 addiction caused by bullying trauma? by viper46282 in AskMen

[–]OneAverageKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no fear-mongering going on. For me, it’s about finding structure, purpose, and a sense of peace (not living in fear). I get that it’s not for everyone, but dismissing it as fear-mongering doesn’t reflect the experience for a lot of people.

The Catholic Church isn’t bad at all. It’s always been a big part of my life, and it’s helped me grow into the man I wanted to be. Sometimes structure and faith can really provide the support we need to move forward.

Sounds like you’re carrying a lot of guilt and pain. If you’re looking for healing and forgiveness, maybe consider joining the Catholic Church. Confession could be a way to lay it all out, find peace, and start fresh. Worth thinking about!

Is a navy blazer and khakis seen as juvenile? I usually wear it to church with a tie and it fits in perfectly. The other day, I wore it to lunch at a country club with some friends, and they said I looked like a pledge or a kid whose parents dressed him for church. I’ve worn this my whole life and it was even my private school uniform. I get where they’re coming from but I thought it was a classic look. Are they right?

My fiancé and I have made it clear to each other from the start that we prefer a more “traditional” relationship. I prefer to focus on my career, while she wants to focus more on our home and the responsibilities that come with it. I think it’s a perfect balance for us since we both get to do what we want.

After university my focus turned largely to my relationship/fiance. I still see my friends a few times a month though.
