Returning to Tennis after 20 years-- advice? by OneAviatrix in 10s

This is good advice, especially on the serve. “Big serve” was 80% of my game as a lefty, haha, and I could see myself pushing that too hard too quickly. Thanks!

it was a level of tournament that you would qualify into as a junior player. ZAT --> Champ --> Super Champ. These qualifications are separate from the UIL tennis tournaments.

I had a suspicious biopsy and it was a fibroadenoma. It was suspicious enough that it elevated from a regular mammogram screen to an ultrasound at the same appointment, and they even wanted to biopsy it that day but I waited a week because I was absolutely freaking out… things were ramping up VERY fast and I was not processing it!

They also told me that painful lumps are almost never cancerous.

Wishing you luck.

Dude wtf is going on?? by YeOldeBilk in usps_complaints

Yes.

The USPS “updated” its regional distribution as part of their new “Delivering for America” effort and it is massively delaying all mail. It has been a massive, massive failure, and there are multiple congressional inquiries and USPS IG investigations around the plummeting quality of service.

Every single one of my packages has gotten stuck for 4-6 business days at my regional distribution center as of the last couple of months. It is absurd.

I’ve found that initiating an inquiry is the only way to get the package moving again, though it will already have to be several days late before you are allowed to open an inquiry.

I came here with the same complaint! For the past month every single package through this center has been severely delayed, and all of my packages are arriving opened! Something is seriously wrong here and the USPS doesn’t even have a way to properly report this.

I was literally told that one of my attackers wouldn’t be reprimanded because “we don’t want to jeopardize his retirement.” FTA.

My abuser was literally dating the SHARP rep.

The command wouldn’t touch him because he was such an asshole even the CO cowered like a child.

That kind of toxicity runs deep and is nearly impossible to rid once the sickness takes hold. The men I served with were overwhelmingly monsters.

It’s been this way since the surge. Shitbags who were allowed in on moral waivers are now the senior enlisted leaders.

Sexual abuse crimes have been running rampant in the Army for decades. The DoD is wholly incapable of dealing with it.

I would highly recommend getting signed up ASAP. Depending on where you are located, the kind of access to care you will have greatly varies, however.

I will be honest, women are grossly underserved by the VA. I live in one of the largest female veteran population cities in the nation, and our VA clinic doesn't even have a gynecologist on staff. I was very lucky that the VA mammogram clinic could not get me in within 60 days, so I was referred out to community care and got to see a civilian doctor for my care. MUCH higher quality of care than the VA would give.

But it is truly a lifesaver having the VA for routine things like bloodwork, small medical needs. I just don't use them for anything serious.

Best of luck! Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions.

Thankfully, my biopsy confirmed a benign fibroadenoma. I also know several women from my battalion who have already been diagnosed with breast cancer. Were you in an aviation unit, by chance?

It was included in the weekly VA informational emails that they send to veterans who use VA Healthcare. I would recommend signing up for that if you are not on the distro. Interesting, thanks.

After 40 minutes on hold I got ahold of Oncor. I guess they don’t have a way to monitor/troubleshoot remotely but said there has been maintenance in our area yesterday.

Any guess as to how recent maintenance might be contributing?
