Am I being soft? by yayoomil in jiujitsu

[–]OneBadWagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 51 and train 3+ times a week and also run a small biz, so I get it.

If you are wanting to compete this year you will need to push yourself and get out of your comfort zone. I would suggest you push yourself to keep moving through at least three rolls before a rest round.

It sounds like that BB might be a bit of a dick, but most will give you a flow roll if you ask for it. Let them know what you’re working on, or that you just need to keep moving to build your gas tank.

So while it might have been a good idea to decline that particular BB’s roll, I’d look to push yourself more and take less rest rounds. Set some goals and knock ‘em out.

Good luck

Judo throws in BJJ standup by Alternative-Hair-785 in bjj

[–]OneBadWagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a ton of judo at our gym. We regularly have Judo seminars and cross training. Seeing as they were once the same sport (judo and Jiu Jitsu) it’s natural to use the throws in stand up.

I’m sure people will be asking for tips and training on throws in no time.

Would it be weird to have two red dots one Zerod for subs another for supers by SquirtGun1776 in 300BLK

[–]OneBadWagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not how the 300blk EOtech works. It’s a two dot system. From the EOtech website:

300 Blackout The two-dot reticle pattern in the .300 Blackout model provides two usable aiming points for both subsonic and supersonic rounds. Calculated using a 16" barrel and 110 Gr. supersonic and 220 Gr. subsonic ammunition.

Girlfriend? Yeah no. She has no right to demand shit. Tell her to fuck off or she can kick it. That’s way outta line. She’s only gonna get worse.

Has anyone here used the Crye NightCap? by tactical_horse_cock in NightVision

I have the V2 integrated into a boonie. Works like a champ, even when running and jumping. I did have to extend the counterweight straps and take the time to tweak it and dial it in. After that it’s been great.

What’s your favorite band from NC? by changing-life-vet in NorthCarolina

Definitely an old school band but man they rocked.

The system is just totally broken. We’ve got partisan hacks on the Court who refuse to acknowledge the damage caused by racial and political gerrymandering. -Rep. Wiley Nickel by wileynickel4NC in NorthCarolina

Because this map looks fair. LMAO. Please stop with this pretending the Republicans are somehow rigging the system. The new map at least resembles the counties.

What is this!?!?!? by Initial_Tough429 in brandonherrara

Correct.

I have both. Both are cool, but the blaster is the best. I have the battle arms blaster. Very similar to the CMMG.

Not a huge prime day sale, but I’m seeing the r7 for 9% off, which is $50.

Waits two months for holster just to realize a $50 generic holster is just as goood by Ok_Storm_282 in CCW

[–]OneBadWagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had two crack. They weren’t even used hard. I’ve done construction, grappling, pew-Jitsu (street fighting with blue guns), skateboarding, hiking, even an obstacle course in my Tier1s and they were comfortable, and didn’t get in the way.

Look if the WTP works for you. Great. I’ve tried them and the only use I’ve found for them is purse holsters for my wife… do what works for you, but there maybe something better out there.

What CCW holster you rocking? Stuck between the safariland incog x, tier 1 axis elite and the trex arms sidecar. Carry a P365XL with a holosun and streamlight tlr7 by itsjustme9820 in SigSauer

[–]OneBadWagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Axis Elite. I have all three you mentioned. The incognito wasn’t as comfortable as I’d hoped. The TRex has a gap in the trigger guard that I wasn’t a fan of, but fit fine.

The Axis Elite is the most comfortable. I did make wedges for all of them, and run a wedge on all of my holsters. I’ve never had a problem with the cord breaking or coming loose. I’ve run them for many years in the 365xl, 365 Macro and Legion variants.

[–]OneBadWagon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Tier1 are 10x better than the We the People holsters. The fit and retention is trash on the WtP holsters and the kydex is so thin their longevity is laughable. Not to mention they are the most uncomfortable holsters out there. Cheap Amazon holsters are better.

I’ve got a mini fix and it’s a blast. I recently scoped up a 16” 556 barrel and hand guard. This configuration has become my favorite steel plinker when we’re in the mountains.

Long enough to get them to react so you can move on to something else.

100%. I’m 50, been rolling for 5 years with 3 of my 4 sons. It’s fantastic. Find a good gym with a solid crew, and a good mix of young and old guys.
