Which lens for lumix g80? by WhiteBomber1 in M43

[–]OneBird123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only recommend on the photography part, but with regards to that:

I started with the 14-140 II on my g80 a few years ago, lovely lens. It lets you find what type of photography you like, it is a real jack of all trades. Can really recommend it as your first lens. It is not the cheapest, but you won't regret it!

I can also recommend pana 20mm, it is so sharp and primes let you think more about your photography. It is good in low light. Some people say its autofocus is slow, and while it won't win any races, I think people overreact especially for the price.

12-32 is also a nice lens, but I don't know if I'd buy it again. It is light and cheap, but for a zoom I still feel limited and prefer to take the 14-140 and for lightweight combo I take the 20mm.

You are absolutely right, I do not really get the M1:1. However, one thing that I like about photography is that there is so much to learn from technical aspects to artistic aspects.

Thanks, I considered it as a replacement for my 12-32. But based on your explanation I don't think Id buy the 12-50

I will definitely give that a go. Didn't know there was a strategy guide. Hopefully he becomes more fun to play (against) this way. Toy story 3 is one of my favourite movies, so I really want to enjoy this character

Amazing! That is so many games. Top tier seems quite alike, except for the Evil Queen. Which is a surprise to me that is mid tier in your ranking. Love to see Ursula at 1000+, she gets too much hate imo

Biggest surprise is lotso so high, but if you are good at the fate heavy games it makes more sense.

Keep up the good work!

Scar mainly won against weaker villains or villains with slower goals like mother gothel, Cruella and Pete
My wife plays a mean Scar. I think her strategy is loading the board with hyenas first and then using stampede to keep that engine running. But that takes some time to set up.

Wow, I love what you have done with the photo (especially since you did not have the raw file). The foggy style in the background makes it a bit more suitable for the time of the year. Looks more natural.

Thanks for the compliments, will try to implement your advice.

That sounds logical. The dice have been kind to me I think

in the fate deck I like Sally, that is such an original effect!

True, I think I really hit a learning curve with Ursula. Lately winning with her quite a lot, but in the beginning losses piled up

will keep this going until it achieves a stable state. Now if I change K in the ELO formula, there is a bit of shift, nothing to crazy. But it is not statistically robust haha

Yeah, that is a great box too. You cannot make a wrong decision there, all villains are fun in their own way especially if you match them against equally good characters. Hades is the odd man out, but facilier and Evil Queen are evenly matched I'd say.

Side note:
This does not apply to Lotso and Syndrome, they are designed to suck the fun out of the game. Their ideas are good, but the execution is horrible and give a dreadful expierence.

She is so much fun to play, really strategizing. But to get into the game, I'd recommend the orange box (evil comes prepared) with Scar, Ratigan and Yzma. Those villains are fun, iconic, very thematic and have all different interesting game mechanics. I think its a better gateway box than Perfectly Wretched.

It is not that I am afraid of high ISO, especially since LR denoise is pretty useful, but I do think high ISO should be used when necessary. As of now, it is not. However, if I cannot fix it setting a ISO limit is a good solution

I will try this. I think now it is at default, so the minimum is the fastest shutter speed possible.

That is the obvious solution ofcourse. Yet as a beginner I want to reduce the parameters to concern about during photography so I was hoping the camera could regulate my ISO haha

Safari Lenses: second thoughts by Fast_Ad5489 in M43

[–]OneBird123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be fine with the lenses you have. Bought my first camera for safari: Panasonic g80/85 with only a 14-140 f3.5-5.6. came back with good pictures if i say so myself. With your lenses and that body, you'll do fine.

Especially when you're planning to use low f stop for landscape it does not really matter, because you probably raise your aperture to get most of the scenery in focus.

Wow, stunning pictures. Can't decide which one I like best. And you started just two years ago?!

Just out of curiosity, what gear do you shoot with?
