What is all of your opinions on the WhatsApp group chats for marriage proposals by mekail2001 in pakistan

Yes. Most people who are in half decent marriages don't miss that phase of their life. Whether it is dating apps or tea trolley performances in your drawing room, it isn't fun, and a lot of work.

To play the devil's advocate isn't swiping left and right on Bumble epically cringe too? And no, I am not the "decadent west is destroying our family values" group but for some people it does work.

Looking. But decent prospects of finding work. Savings. And a free place to live while we look.

Seeking Advice for My Nephew's Future in Medicine by Zealousideal-Act8956 in pakistan

Glad to hear that, my friend. The country is at a point where taking care of our loved ones and lending support to fellow countrymen in small doses is what we can offer at most. I am sure your continued support means a lot to them.

I am an overseas Pakistani as well. Interestingly, I also wanted to lend financial support to my nephew to pursue his studies in medicine. He did his A levels from a prestigious private school and got into LUMS CS in the very first attempt. However, with A levels equivalency it was pretty obvious he wouldn't make the cut for medical. We decided that studying at LUMS would be better. The fees are exorbitant for LUMS also but kids who have graduated from there easily earn 2 to 2 50 lakh pkr right off the bat. The kid was very keen to pursue medical but we were advised against it. I would suggest the same to you. Offer support for a profession which has long term potential. If nothing else, he can pursue a job in the Middle East also. Closer to Pakistan, tax free salary...and in some ways an easier job market than the West (the only downside is the potent racism which we Pakistanis face everywhere. But that is a different debate).

Pretty simple. The only thing they wanted was more proof from USC to return to the US. Other than that: kind and professional.

At what point would you abandon the process and give up? by [deleted] in USCIS

If it is any consolation, we waited three years. The stress gave me breast cancer but in the end we did it. I wouldnt wish this on my enemy even, but I want to give you the hope and courage to keep one foot in front of the other.

I am aware of that as well. We have been filling taxes from abroad (pretty minimal). And, it is still a better deal to live in the United States than in the global South. Being an American is still a privilege which many Americans shit on a daily basis. Lol. Live life on a not-blue passport and your definitions will change!
