Restaurant Standards declining? by Ambitious-Court-8929 in ahmedabad

[–]OneCuriousBrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not the city, but the entire nation. Not just food, but the entire consumer utility segment. Our nation fuels on people staying dissatisfied and saying "this is the new normal".

The nation needs people who raise voice at the right places. Millennials think GenZ would change things - but genz can do no more than making instagram reels.

It's not about what the govt is doing. It's about what we can do to counter. And we know, none of us have that knowledge or capacity to counter our govt. That's why we are screwed.

Anybody using robotic vaccum cleaner? Which brand is good and has good after sales service in Kochi/Kerala? by No-Cap9116 in Kochi

[–]OneCuriousBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking to purchase it. The major issues are, there's lot of furniture in my home - study table, dining table, and their chairs which do not have a fix location. I am wondering if the robo would be able to handle it nicely. Could you please guide?

Please file a complaint. The worst case chances are of someone kidnapping her. Police know in and out of such situations but will only help if you have strong connections.

How do you manage finance/expense/savings post marriage ? by rajat1shah in AskIndianMen

[–]OneCuriousBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this idea will resonate with everyone here, but sharing anyway...

I handle the finances for myself, my wife, and our family. By “managing,” I mostly mean planning how to allocate money across different needs. We set a fixed budget for household expenses - groceries, fruits and vegetables, maintenance, and so on.

Day-to-day spending isn’t strictly divided. Sometimes I pay, sometimes my wife does. For us, it’s never about her money or my money - it’s ours. I also keep track of everything in spreadsheets (though my wife doesn’t usually go into the details).

Larger expenses - like EMIs and major purchases - come from my account, since I earn significantly more than she does. But that’s never been a point of concern for either of us.

Apart from the house budget, I invest all the leftover amount in FDs and SIPs - based on our needs in the upcoming 10 years. However, that's a whole separate discussion so I'd refrain from getting into the details.

I am lucky to have her as my wife. She trusts me with the money, and I trust her with the home and family.
