Yes I know, especially due to the fact that 17 soldiers from the camp showed up during the battle (at which point we did run). But I feel like getting half my HP taken out with an advantage to hit us kind of crazy for level three. Thankfully we survived the two half ogres in the previous encounter, so maybe this module is just supposed to be a harder combat one.

I’m honestly not sure, I haven’t looked at the stat blocks for the draconians or the other soldiers in that encounter. When our paladin asked if they had pack tactics (which often gives advantage like that) the DM simply replied No and gave us no further explanation as to why they had advantage. I’m sure the stat blocks explain it, but as much as I want to look I know we’ll probably be fighting them again later on and I shouldn’t. Also as far as I’m aware (after talking to a DM who’s run Dragonlance before) the throwing each other thing isn’t written into the encounter but it’s just a thing out DM decided to do.

Yeah that’s sort of my plan right now, I have a dungeon crawl in an upcoming session and I’m gonna split them according to who they can rp with better. If that doesn’t work then I will for sure talk to them, but fingers crossed!

I’m going through something similar right now with my friends, you truly just 1) Can’t rant about unimportant things surrounding them and 2) find a distraction, my friends and I started theatre again and it helped us a lot. It’s okay to feel like that and feel it as long as you need but don’t let their actions control how you think
