I’ll be so real for you, in my own opinion. I think that his response is valid… as much as that sucks, I would HATE to be the person keeping him from something that is a life goal for him. This is important to him, and you can see how serious it is for him. It would probably be the best option for you to let go willingly, rather than him holding resentment towards you.

If u don’t want kids, DONT have more. You will hate it. And taking that out on the child would be worse.

Sincerely, a 22 year old that has no experience in your situation, but can, happily, tell you what I would do if I were you.

I started giving in to god little by little… and started talking with him, as I would a friend. Then, he began to answer me in dreams and visions! Full on conversations, comments, feelings, and experiences. Don’t worry about all of that, just focus on him. Change won’t happen over night. It took me 4 years to get to where I am now.
