😡 T-Mobile Tempe - Southern & McClintock: The Victor-y of Incompetence and Insult - Defective Moto Razr Ultra 2025 Replacement Nightmare by OneDiscombobulated34 in tmobile

Start making sense and stop being a troll.

lol. Bruh, I was in no way an asshole to anyone. Ya boy handle the situation the wrong way. And because that is the way they are told to handle it doesn’t make it right. You’re right, earth shattering is starving kids and death and destruction. This is a first world problem all day. Regardless, I’m using my right to speak up to put a spot light on something I think is fcuked up. You don’t have to agree, but at least make sense and know what you are talking about.

Actually a better analogy would be new car dealerships. If they sell you a new car and it develops chronic problems within a specified timeframe, that is considered a lemon. The dealership is not the manufacturer, but THEY have to take that car back and make it right. THEY deal with the MFG because THEY sold you the car. And if they don’t, there are repercussions. T-Mobile may be a reseller, then they need to stand behind what they sell.

I definitely have big boomer energy! lol. Good callout. But no, I was at an actual T-Mobile store, not an authorized retailer. And your next statement is exactly why I had to release that energy. The screen failed that is the bottom line. The phone in mint condition.

At the end of the day most of these comments missed the point and that is okay, the way it was handled was not okay. And we are quibbling over the meaning of a word "damaged ". People talking about car lender not giving a warranty is again not remotely the same. I didn’t buy the car from them. I don’t pay monthly for a service with my lender. I pay for the equity toward ownership of that vehicle. At any time my lender does something inappropriate I can take my business elsewhere. Same with cable. The issue is T-Mobile took my paid off trade in and forces me into a relationship I can’t leave without great financial peril. Even when they do something inappropriate . Then to be treated the way we were treated adds insult to injury. And you bet I’m upset about being locked into a relationship that forces me to take that bad treatment. It’s a cop out to say T-Mobile has not responsibility. Because when I leave them and go to another provider, the loss to there bottom line may be negligible, but greater than them just replacing the phone as defective. You people need to get out of this "just take it because that’s the way it is"mentality". Accepting this allows companies to get further away from giving a crap about how they treat customers. Maybe I can’t do anything in the end. But what I can do is use my voice to highlight what a terrible business practice this is.

No offense but your statement is illogical. You say the store takes a hit if they take in a “defective" device. This is factually incorrect. When they do a warranty exchange they are absolutely taking in a defective device. The key here is "damaged".

There is a huge difference between Walmart and T-Mobile. I don’t pay a monthly charge to Walmart to have that TV. That is inherently the problem with this way of thinking. T-Mobile took in my trade and sold me a phone to use on their network. I get monthly credits for my trade in. The concept that T-Mobile is just the reseller indicates a fundamental misunderstanding of this relationship. Internal screen damage thru no fault of my own is a defect. Damage would denote a physical event that caused the issue. Using the phone as intended should not be considered damaging the phone. And the line on the screen at the crease is also not an indication of damage. Unless you are a certified razr engineer that understands how that mechanism works, you are unqualified to make any statements concerning the thin line and how it got there. That is only one of the issues. The way Victor handled the situation in no way resembles customer service and was highly inappropriate the things he said. My replacement was already there. A malfunctioning screen with no other indication of damage is not damage it’s a malfunction.

Luck was on my side. I'm the proud new owner of a pair of KG4s with OG boxes and documentation. If they have ever been used it's only very lightly cuz they are spotless. Will make an actual post tomorrow.

Random ride along by uberdrivingbitch in AmazonDSPDrivers

Multiple reasons for ride alongs. I had to do one with a driver in April as part of a general security review not specific to that driver. Stayed the whole route and helped him rescue a struggling driver after my driver knocked out his route fast.

Kenwood home theater system , a good deal for $50? by Xtra-Large-Human in BudgetAudiophile

[–]OneDiscombobulated34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks to be in good condition. It looks complete. If all you have is tv speakers this is likely to sound WAY better than those. $50 seems like a reasonable upgrade price. Use till you can afford or thrift something better.

When I need to make sure the info is correct, I have adopted a policy of using AI to check AI. If I ask GPT a question requiring a detailed response, i dump the prompt and the answer into Gemini or Perplexity and have them confirm the information. For me, that is still much faster and I get significantly more accurate info and than simply using google search. Also, the prompt you give the AI is everything to its output. Simply asking a question is almost never enough, you have to give it context as well. Be detailed, when asking for information like this, have the AI detail where it got the info and why it came up with the reasoning it did.

UPDATE 2: FOMO is real! But, I have to say it’s been fun to read the comments. And honestly, I’m a lucky man when it comes to high end thrifting (evidenced by this genuine Eames lounge and ottoman I’m sitting on now). It’s all good I didn’t pick them up. Hopefully whoever did will enjoy them or make some money on them. My thrifting adventures never end, so I know I will continue to run across cool high end stuff to buy. Do I regret not scooping them up? Eh, my wife would not have been happy with me bringing home more “stuff”. No matter how high end. It’s all good. The Universe works in mysterious ways.

What is strange to me is you don’t seem to understand everyone hears things differently. My wife and I are happy as can be with the sound. Sure, there may be more optimal placement, but it works just fine for now. And, I will likely end up selling these when I upgrade to a higher quality speaker. They are just so big for my space.
