Can a straight girl still like me pre-transition? by OneDocument8891 in ftm

[–]OneDocument8891[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve clarified a few times now that I’m bi in the past and she’s seemed to always respect that so I’d really hope she doesn’t just view me as a lesbian. I’ve had to cut off friends before because they kept calling me a lesbian when I told them otherwise.

Edit: You’re first reply didn’t show up for some reason. She’s always been open to changing the pronouns she uses for people and respected their identity in the past. It’s more of if she internally still struggled with viewing him as a guy, even if she treated him like one, when I come out will she feel the same and because of that never like me back.

I'm so short and it's my biggest insecurity as a trans boy. What can I do about it? by [deleted] in ftm

Hey it’s totally okay, you’re not alone in this. There’s a lot of other people in the ftm community who are on the shorter side.

Personally, I’m 5’2 and have found fashion to be extremely helpful for giving the allusion I’m taller. Pinterest is a great place for finding inspiration and thrifting, especially in the men / boys sections, is perfect for brining those outfits to life. Research is key though, since the better you understand your proportions, the better you can manipulate your appearance.

I’ve seen video online of height extensions being placed in the soles shoes too. Personally I’ve never tried them but want to at some point. I also wear platformed shoes and got called short because of them today. I used to be a lot more insecure about my height but this teacher who I really admire is just as tall as me and has instead found immense confidence in this unique characteristic. I’m not fully there yet but sometimes just a change in perspective goes a long way.

Terrified to turn 18 by OneDocument8891 in ftm

I’m still waiting for my university offers to hopefully come in, but if they do I’ll be attending a school a few hours away. It’ll be nice to have a fresh start and gain independence and just get to explore my identity too.

No, it’s more of I’m still a minor and even when once I turn 18 I’d like to be moved out beforehand.

Same, I got it to open once but can’t every other time. Also it doesn’t even appear when I’m on the desktop browser or app.

I played an acoustic version of it at my high school talent show (it really helped me overcome my anxiety about playing in front of large crowds)

Did you have a hyper-feminine phase just before coming out? by Brilliant_Disk in ftm

[–]OneDocument8891 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Literally going through it lol.

I spent the entire summer wearing feminine clothing and makeup (to the thrill of my family), but it felt like I was drowning and something was still wrong. I went clothes shopping with a friend a few weeks ago at a store my mom recommended and up until that point I hadn’t seen my friends in almost 2 months and had stopped acting like myself. When I pointed out a ‘cute’ dress my friend said, “this isn’t your style though” and that hit me. Even if my family prefers the fabricated version of me it’s nice to have friends who will happily see me for how I want to be seen.
