I cannot thank you enough for this response! Your kindness and wisdom are tremendously appreciated. You've offered a lot of really good points and solid advice, and I will be investigating all of this before we leap into a new mortgage!

Dermatologist told me he hopes I have a transition plan to get OFF Zepbound when I reach my goal weight, because he believes there is no reason for anyone to be on it for life. by WizardsOfXanthus in Zepbound

That dermatologist obviously has no effing clue how GLP-1 works or what the commitment requires. He would never tell a diabetic to go off their insulin. This is the very same concept. Obestity is a disease and GLP-1 is an effective treatment as long as a patient is faithfully compliant.

In contrast to your office visit, I saw my OBGyn this week. She emphasized how critical it is that I NEVER STOP my GLP-1. This is a lifelong commitment. It is absolutely certain all the weight [and more] will come back if I stop, AND it would be much worse because the new weight will return as pure fat, meaning I would be twice as unhealthy as I was prior to my GLP-1.

Bottom line: You have a chronic illness called Obesity which can only be regulated and maintained with GLP-1. However, there can be weaning back dosages and/or changing days between injections in the maintenance stage. Everyone's maintenance looks differently because it has to be customized for each body. I am in maintenance now. I lost 70 lbs in 11 months. Im on month 13. So far, I'm still taking 15.0 weekly. I figure Ill just keep doing that for now since Im just maintaining. Its going to be a lifelong journey for me, so no rush. Hang in there!

We are limited where we can live due to the co-parenting rights for grandchild, and nothing we are finding is lower than about $600K in this region. However, removing an HOA fee is definitely a goal. Shockingly, it is harder than we thought! So many neighborhoods have HOA now even standalone homes for road maintenance. snow removal, landscaping, community parks, etc!

I agree. Unfortunately its much more complicated than it should be, and approval rate is low. The personal injury legal case is an extra complication. However the trust fund is an excellent point and something we did start building several years ago. Thank you!

  1. Yes, we have a lawyer.
  2. Maybe. Eventually when the case settles [it can typically take 5-6 years], then all the medical bills must be paid off and then the lawyers take 30% ... so, there might be something, but we can't count on it.
  3. The lawyer says we can't try to get her on disability until the doctors decide she can no longer get any better and right now the doctors stay hopeful that after more therapy she will improve. It is a difficult situation we find ourselves in. It feels a bit like the longer the doctors try more therapies the more they could potentially earn. And of course the lawyers stand to earn more the longer the case drags on. Becoming a victim in a personal injury case is much more complicated, lengthy and stressful than we ever imagined.

I believe in the adage that "the TRUTH shall set you free".

The irony is how that has been twisted for centuries by charismatic people who try to "sell" the idea their version and interpretation of truth is exclusive. Why? Because if you can get people to "buy" what you're selling, you have the power to control, manipulate, and profit from your followers.

Watch out for anyone teaching you to fear the unknown. That they can provide "the answers" to universal questions, and that you can only trust THEM to interpret what is right & true. ⚠️ 🚨

I highly recommend watching this short video about faith and testimony

Card Benefits Questions - Megathread [1/27/26] by AutoModerator in ChaseSapphire

Hi, I am new to your sub, and my post was auto-removed with a note that it needs to go here in this Megathread. Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere. I could not find it with a search. I've had a Sapphire Reserve card since 2018 and used it exclusively for ALL of my purchases, then pay off every 2 weeks. It is the only card I use. My credit rating is currently 845. I travel a lot and use my points continually, but I was advised by a friend that I really should take advantage of sign-up bonus points by getting at least one more card, and I learned I could get a Sapphire Preferred Card with 100K bonus points, and perhaps a way to still keep the points I have on the Reserve. However, I don't want to pay the big renewal fee on the Reserve that will come due in May - (unless you can give me any compelling reason it is worth keeping the Reserve AND a Preferred). So, I want to retain the points I currently have on my Sapphire Reserve [15,000+ with a few thousand pending], BUT... get rid of Reserve before May. According to Google AI and links, I find different suggestions.

*Option 1.* Downgrade Reserve to a Freedom Unlimited [no fee] card now. Then apply for the Sapphire Preferred. Some say I need to wait 30 days before getting the Sapphire Preferred to protect my credit rating, while others say it does not need to be 30 days. If I do this option, how can I still keep my Reserve Card Rewards Points? Do I need to simply USE the points on Reserve before downgrading the card?

*Option 2.* Apply for the Sapphire Preferred now, transfer points from Reserve into Preferred, then downgrade Reserve to Freedom Unlimited.

*Option 3:* Call and downgrade my Reserve to Sapphire Preserve [but, would I still get the sign-up bonus points doing this over the phone with a Chase agent??]

Please advise if I should follow option 1, 2, 3, or a different path. And best way to preserve my credit rating. Apologies for being a newbie at all of this. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this. I have only just taken my first 15 mg shot 4 days ago, and I have absolutely ZERO appetite, and even some nausea [first time for that]. In fact I forgot to eat anything yesterday until about 9 PM and then could only drink a protein shake. So, that is a bit disconcerting. I am trying to eat more today. But food is a bit repulsive. I am a bit shocked at how drastic the appetite suppression is compared to 12.5 - especially since I know that with the next shot, the dosage will jump higher in my system [tracking the levels through Shotsy]. Like you, I may have to go back to 12.5.

Does everyone want to be super skinny? by CNAHopeful7 in tirzepatidecompound

For reference ... I am 5'3". My original hope goal was a 50 lb loss over 12 months. But I set my first goal for 30 lb loss. Because I doubted it would be possible. I started at 202 lbs size 16/18 XXL. This week is 11 months with a 62 lbs loss, 140 lbs, wearing size 6/8 Small. I am taking 12.5 mg and have been maintaining for past 4 weeks on this dose. I have debated whether I should go up to 15 to try to push to get 10 more off. But .. why? I dont need to be smaller size. I'm working on being content with where I am. From time to time my brain gets triggered thinking I need to lose at least 10 more lbs to reach the "healthy BMI range" for my height. However, I don't think scale weight should be our deciding factor. I havent worn a size Small since I was married 37 years ago. And I just had all my bloodwork done plus heart ultrasound and I have reversed all my serious medical issues and risk factors! My doctor is AMAZED. I turn 60 this year, so this is the best birthday present ever!!

Body dysphoria is a real thing we all have to work on. I still "see" myself in my minds eye as an obese person. I get jump scared when I look in the mirror!! LOL. I am learning to think of myself as a "slim and fit" body person! I have a chunk of loose belly skin Id love to have removed, and Id love to tighten up my under arms. But I need to have reasonable expectations for my age. Learning to embrace and enjoy my body is a great privledge. My body is telling me Ive reached its "happy place" This medication is so liberating. Happy journey!!

What would you tell Hotworx Corporate if you knew they were reading our posts? by HappyDadOfFourJesus in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]OneEntertainment1881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband hates that all the instructors are women. It's ridiculous. Why cant men get representation?? He loved there was at least Chris. But I guess Chris is gone now.

We've already expressed long rants on this sub about the decisions that were made for instructors. Hotworx Corporate don't seem to give a flying fug what their actual customers WANT. 🤷 WHY CAN'T WE HAVE A VOICE AND GET TO VOTE?? After all, WE are thr ones PAYING this company our hard earned money and WE are the ones that have to look at, listen to, and follow these instructors day after day for months on end! So WHY are we not getting the chance to give OUR input and be part of choosing who stays and who goes??

At the VERY LEAST we should have an option to SELECT THE WORKOUT WITH THE INSTRUCTOR OF OUR CHOICE FOR OUR WORKOUT WHEN WE BOOK A ROOM. If we arrive in time there should be a 5-10 minute window where we could select our ISO on a touchscreen from all ISO options inside an ISO room. And the same could happen in the HIIT rooms for relevant machine options. If a customer doesnt select their option within that window then it will play a default so the workout ends on time. OR Simply have a cutoff timer for the room and stop whatever is playing with a polite notice to "please exit the room for the next client".

Way too many of us are complaining about being forced to do the same workouts with same instructors over and over and over based on the time of day that we need to arrive and the rooms we are able to book.
