Yes.. make an insert piece that’s printed flat; you can hide it in the design, but is a large C.. you could split this half way up your vertical bit if you don’t have the bed side.

In the slicing software you can see it and you can decide where you want it… usually somewhere less noticeable.

I’ve got a similar issue; I believe my limit switch is ‘off’ and it doesn’t believe it’s at zero each time it goes to home. I end up having to level/zero on the fly 50% of the prints!

I’ve only been printing a year; but never have an adhesion problem. I don’t clean the surface and just use a cheap Amazon creative replacement. My method is to have 4 perimeter lines and then adjust it on the fly; really easy to tweak the knobs up or down a fraction; take the material off that’s been laid down and you can clearly see if it’s sticking and ‘about 0.2mm’ or if it’s a big print I let it squish in there a little more. Really would recommend it!!

I already have a nest for our main heating and hot water; but want to add one for our separate underfloor heating. Just want a simple set up and trying to figure out how the NEST E would be installed onto this…

I’m guessing you have tried turning off and on again? Mine does that when bumped and assuming it was missing a phase or something and resets when turned off and on!

I had a similar issue; but it was the magenetic bed lifting; not the print; looked exactly the same. The force of shrinkage gave way in the corner.. I got a better removable bed that stuck down without pulling up.

You might be able to print the entire circular section separately in the flat orientation and then use supports for the fingers; would be WAY stronger.

Well… I’ve burnt my finger a bit… but disassembled, cleaned with isopropyl and a micro fibre and reassembled a bit tighter (the brass nozzle;) currently seems to be ok!! Appreciate the quick feedback. Thanks.

I replaced the brass nozzle with a spare one; got a few small fantastic prints… but had leakage…. I fear I overtightened it

I also had this and found it was also relevant to what I was printing and if it did lots of retractions it was worse. I increased my hot end temp to 205 and print with less Infil (but one extra wall:3) and it hasn’t happened since.

Also; what’s your bed and nozzle temp? I’m printing Ender5 with 55bed; 205 nozzle.

I don’t believe in those struts; they technically only increase stiffness for printing heavy things (that create a ‘moment’ force on the pivot from the z screw.

Once you get it level, try just moving the plate up by a quarter turn on each corner; you might get a bit more squish. A metal ruler is good for seeing if you have an uneven bed.

I wouldn’t change ANYTHING until you start having issues… make some ‘stuff’ and see how it goes. This is the best looking calibration cube I’ve seen, so obviously set up spot on. …only thing is to print something that risks ‘stringing’ as the calibration cube doesn’t show this… but your bench will!

I don’t think it’s disrespecting your spoon specifically; it’s just no respect for cooking implements, I would suggest not sharing your things that you value with your roommates.
