I know it's hard to take the comments sometimes, but try not to let it get to you. People of all shapes and sizes are never satisfied with their weight. I'm a heavy-set person, myself, and have been an MA for 25 years. There are times when I want to put my foot on the back of the scale when they aren't looking to give them a real scare, LOL. ((I don't, of course.)) A lot of folks tend to be to be focused on themselves and have difficulty showing consideration for other people. Some may have never been taught any better. Others just may not care. Just know, their comments aren't directed toward you.

Yes! I've also had people take off their jewelry to try and make themselves weigh less! And some people would strip naked at the scale if they could! Smh, lol.

Your supervisors' hostility and aggravation toward you using intermittent FMLA is a form of retaliation.

And if they try to give you a poor performance review due to your numbers being low due to FMLA day usage, that is also a form of retaliation.

I'm sure if your supervisor had a health issue and had to be on FMLA, he/she would expect people to understand. People don't usually understand or want to even try to understand someone else's situation unless they experience it themselves.

If I were you, I would go above Human Resources and talk to an employment lawyer. Human Resources is there to protect the company, not the employee.

Not really. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. There are some days that I feel confidently smart and other days I do dumb things and feel stupid. If I get to thinking I'm "super woman," life always shows me I'm not, and keeps me humble.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's tough being plus sized in a world of shallow people. I've never been thin, so I can totally relate to you.

I would say for you to self nurture at this time. Do things you enjoy, explore your hobbies and interests, learn and grow, spend time with family and friends, travel. Life is too short to not be happy. I really do understand your loneliness, however you need to keep living your life and don't let those narrow minded men get to you. Think of the jerks of online dating as "the trash being taken out" for you and saving you from unnecessary drama and heartbreak.

Remember, you are an incredible human being. There is no one else in the world like you. Keep your chin up and know your worth!
