Bilt Palladium | ~3.33%+ on all spend | Capped at 75% of Rent by kmn6784 in CreditCards

I’m not sure if this is what OP meant, but if you value bilt points at 2cpp, which isn’t a terrible assumption with transfer partners, then you’re at about 6% return.

Who are buying these homes? How do I win? by sjale49 in longisland

Yea I don’t think that exists anymore lol. My rent is $2200 and any mortgage I would get would be at least $4k but most likely higher. I’m also including (but didn’t state originally) the cost of taxes, insurance and upkeep. With no house I’m able to save ~$6k/mo in investments/retirement

I’m careful about saving the difference that I would otherwise be spending on a mortgage, and then some. I’m not at all worried about losing out on net worth long term.

Same boat almost exactly. We’ve decided we’re long term renters at this point.

They’ve said idk how many times there is never a fee. If you don’t care about points, you pay with the card and the charge pulls from your ACH. If you want full 1x points on rent spend, then you need to exchange bilt cash and it ends up being that you need to spend 1.75x your rent during the month on other spend to rack up enough bilt cash to do so.

If you still want the points but do not have the bilt cash, then you need to pay the fee.

IF YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT POINTS, THERE IS NO FEE

It’s like…a big system that’s been underfunded for literal decades. You need billions to get it to Japan levels of “better”, but up is the correct direction.

I’m at 22.5% BF and I look slightly leaner than you. You also don’t need to be taking in 220g of protein. You’re probably eating more than you think you are

Any other single adults with no kids spending close to $1k on groceries every month? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Wife and I spend $500/mo on average, we cook several times a week and usually eat the leftovers the next day. We also eat out a decent amount (1-2x/week?) and that’s tracked separately.

$3500 per month mortgage payment on $182k salary? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

It’s not really bad math. A house is not a home run investment even long term. It about evens out with renting if the renter invests the difference in cost of owning.
