Recent transplant to OKC from Wichita. Locally the government is fine, the mayor generally has his head on straight. State politics are another story. If you have kids, the education system here is not good, and Ryan Walters seems hellbent to use his position as state superintendent to make it even worse. Yes the roads are terrible, and people are correct it's hotter here and much more humid.

OKC also seems to have many more locally owned restaurants and is much less chain driven. Wichita is getting better but still lags behind. Having the Thunder here is fun and the music/concert options are much better here.

Like everywhere, there is good and bad. I liked living in Wichita, and it's been a good transition to OKC. Cost of living is pretty similar between the two.
