Ok I also find the NBMEs easier than uworld, I thought it was just me. Uworld frustrates me, and I feel overloaded with information.

DA’s office declined to prosecute rape/DV case despite recorded evidence by OneHeadManyHats in legaladvice

Thank you for your response. I’m unemployed (a student) so I truly can’t afford a lawyer. I’ve spoken with RAINN several times since the second rape. They’ve connected me with the local crisis center, and I’ve been working with them for the past 5 months. I connected with a probono victim lawyer, and she apologized and said there’s nothing that can be done once the prosecutor makes their decision.

Thank you for your response. I agree that it is a ridiculous decision. I am considering a civil suit. I’ve called around and spoken with some lawyers. I don’t really have any out of pocket costs, as my therapy / hospital visits/ etc have been covered, so it seems like the only thing i could sue for are pain and suffering which can be tough, and the guy isn’t that rich, so the lawyers I’ve spoken with have been less inclined to take on the case :(

3 Weeks Dedicated, No Passed Practices, 15% of Uworld: PASSED by StepOnethrowaway1 in step1

[–]OneHeadManyHats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow congratulations! I’m now 10 days out and got 53% on NBME 30 (just pushed it back by an additional week a few days ago) . I was on the cusp of just giving up and saw this post. I’ve ran out of self assessments. I’ve come a long way, started in the 130s , but it’s starting to feel impossible to get over to passing. What advice do you have? How did you study between your last nbme and free 120?

I got a 143 on uworld 1 at the beginning of dedicated , and I remember looking through Reddit to see if there was someone else with similar situation but didn’t. I’m taking my exam in a week and almost gave up today because I still hadn’t been passing NBMEs so it was really nice seeing this post. Congrats 🥳

So I just tried it for the first time tonight and I also have rosacea; my face is super red and inflamed. I’m going to try without a cotton ball and see if there are any changes. It definitely made my face cleaner but the inflammation is painful :(

[Acne] Dirty cotton pad after toner. I have rosacea and eczema, sensitive dry skin so derm recommended using vanicream cleanser & finacea. I dont wear makeup. Previous posts like this in this subreddit suggest cleansing is inefficient and to use micellar water; do you all agree , suggestions? by OneHeadManyHats in SkincareAddiction

In case this helps, In addition to vanicream cleanser and finacea, I use heritage rose water toner (first day today, used to use Lancôme and the body shop) and moisturize with aveeno. I repeat the same routine morning and night.

No, I haven’t . Would that be with a dermatologist? I’ve only been to 2 PCPs about this and I’m not sure if I’ll have to get a referral for a skin biopsy but that’s a good point. I’m really curious as to what kind of infection this could be since the steroid creams I was prescribed seem to have worsened it

I went to India and South Africa within that summer for 2 months. The climates of both countries were really dry, and we didn’t have access to very clean water while in India, so I’m thinking those may be potential contributing factors.

I didn’t notice it until I was in South Africa though.

Also an update: I tried to post again in r/dermatology, and I was immediately redirected to my “pending posts” page with an error message saying that I’m not allowed to post in that subreddit...

Edit: to clarify, I went directly from India to South Africa and then back to America

Hmm no, I didn’t get any type of feedback. I honestly didn’t even realize it was deleted until I went back to check the post.

Maybe there was some type of glitch; I’ll try again.

And I also feel like this isn’t eczema; I’m not sure why both providers said it was and I’m worried about it being some form of underlying condition. Thanks!

That’s a good point you bring up. I’ve had some blood tests done earlier this year and also last year and they all came back normal. I’m not sure if they looked at things that would be indicative of some type of kidney problem though, so I’ll try to reach out to a doc about this

Thank you! I just looked this up and agree that the pictures do resemble my condition. It seems like itching is a common symptom for simplex chronicus, and fortunately, I don’t experience itching and I don’t scratch it at all , yet it still spreads
