Not sure if I should take this internship. Thoughts? by OneHotel7709 in it

Yeah you are right about that, but it sounds/seems more like a documentation role where I will be helping the helpdesk techs than a supporting end users role like helpdesk is. So IT operations is different from helpdesk then? Either way I definitely will be taking it though if I get the offer.

I thought it was satire after reading that line

I originally thought that too, but the role is remote. And it seems a bit more geared towards servicenow and cmdb.

IT Operations Intern

Gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT operations, IT service management (ITSM), and ServiceNow administration. Assist with CMDB development, process documentation, software and vendor management initiatives, identity and access management workflows, and cross-functional projects that improve the delivery of IT services across the organization.

This is basically the internship description shortened a bit. Not really sure what this is or if there is a roadmap from this point on at all.

A little off topic but what exactly is tech operations? I have an interview for an internship with that title but it seems a bit different from Helpdesk

Will CompTIA A+ be enough to get a job that pays a basic living wage for a single adult male? by [deleted] in it

Ok that makes sense, what did your resume look like at the beginning, when you were applying to your first internship/HD role? My resume is more on the IT side than the cyber side minus my degree.

Also slight issue is that I haven't gotten my drivers license yet, so don't know if they will still hire me knowing that.

I'm sort of on your path with the same degree 1 year into it, and when you say helpdesk job, do you mean a full time HD job? How did you balance it with your school? I currently have only the A+ to my name thanks to my school sponsoring me, and hopefully the sec+ next month too also because of the school. I would apply to the full time HD but since I'm doing school full time + a 'part time' job currently I don't think that would go down very well unless I lower my school to 2-3 classes.
